He moved us to zone in 2008.

Well I guess that answers my question. For some reason I remember him as a man blocking guy.

He did man blocking with SF. Versatile, apparently.

I don't even know what that could mean.

I do know going from anything to Warrant is not an upgrade. Not sure where Thin Lizzy falls there.

And ELI was still only sacked 31 times, as opposed to Wilson's 43. 12 fewer sacks? Sign me up! Two rushers with over 4.3ypc? I'll take that any day. The Giants problem was personality driven at the coaching level.

Really not sure where you are getting that. Giants had HORRIBLE talent on their offensive line, with numerous injuries. Yet they were ranked by DVOA as #10 in pass protection and #15 in run blocking.

From watching Eli getting killed then pulled. I updated my post. He was actually pretty good in pass protect in 2016 and 2017.

If you watch his "coach it up" video Solari talks about how important it is to have to O-Line coaches. You may be onto something.

Mike Solari is legendary...Cable is just a flavor of the weak.

So in his 2 years with the Giants, they gave up under 2 sacks per game on average. That's really good. But when he was with SF they gave up a lot more sacks. But keep in mind Colin Kneelernick was the QB most those years. If we draft well I can see this being a great move.

Yeah, Kaepernick was always horrible under any pressure. Pressure = sacks for Kaepernick. Anyone who actually watched those Whiner offensive lines knows how good they were upfront with Solari as coach.
