I'm starting to feel like Blitzer with this team. Need encouragement.

I am not too concerned about the recent string of media reports on the status of our team's players. It's not hard to come up with this story knowing Beast's personality, age, payroll, and parsing it with the key assumptions on why Harvin was traded. The analyst then sensationalize the key points of their 140 word articles and soak up all the retweets and post to their somewhat believable "insider" information.

Wouldn't shock me but have no clue if there's a shred of truth to the report.

If we see less of Lynch and more of Michael and Turbin in the game plan than that could be an indicator.

Not neccesarily as Lynch has a back issue that really seems to flare up bad on long plane trips across the country. He missed an entire game before and big chunks of 1st qtr's in others. I would not read much into today's game regarding that.

Not just today but as the season progresses.

I happen to believe the story.

Love Lynch, but he can read the tea leaves.. as we all can

Just hope he's bright enough to realize this is, for all intents and purposes, his contract year... and that he puts forth his usual effort to try and land one final payday from a willing team next year.

One thing is for certain though.. This team needs a win today or this season can unravel before our very eyes

When we start winning again, it will be such a coincidence when all these stories seem to go away.

Why doubt the story?

It's Mort, backed up by Mike Silver (Lynch's buddy) and Rapopport (who gets a ton of ready made sources as the NFL's in-house insider).

Sadly we're ten games away from the end of the Marshawn Lynch era. Maybe less.

This isn't news. This is the reason Lynch held out before the season: He knew he wouldn't see the money in his deal for next year, so he held out until the Hawks agreed to bump up some of that salary to this year. Because he knew he won't be back next year. It was reported then. Mort is just trying to have a scoop on the heels of the Harvin deal. But we knew this story already.

..........LT said something to the effect of "I went through this in San Diego. They switched from a run blocking line to a pass blocking line and I could no longer be successful there as a player". He directed his comment to Beast and said he should take note when making his long term plans.
The only problem with LaDanian's statement is that our team's o-line can't pass block or run block so..........

Losing Lynch is huge IMO. He is the true identity of our team and sets the tone both on offense and defense. I don't think the Hawks will be nearly as successful if RW and his passing becomes the new identity. The Hawks need a game changing RB and from what I've heard C-Mike doesn't have the smarts to fill the shoes. I'm getting ready for a major step back and some lean years again.

Unfortunately goes in line with what Aros reported unless it's for depth.

I doubt the story because its connecting the dots between stuff we already know that in no way make me think people are tired.

White House visit
Hold out
The bus

The holdout wasnt that big of a deal really. If anything we moved a smidge of money from next year to this year. And everyone agreed that Lynch was doing the right business move, even if we didnt like it.

His agent completely shot down the bus story. Albiet, it could just be his agent making lies. But why would he bother if it was true. What was he trying to gain? It seemed like the mediots just took Lynchs tweet and completely over embellished it.

The White House? Old news that no one has thought about since.

Honestly, if they had mentioned something new at the very least, it would hold more weight. But this just screams sensationalism. Hit them why theyre down. Do you really believe that right after the Harvin trade, anyone in the hawks organization is discussing Lynch's future at week 8?

I have been wondering how lynch is really feeling about seattle lately. After the rumor of him almost not getting on the team bus after the harvin trade and today i read this article about how he doesn't want to be here and they may trade him ?

http://www.rantsports.com/nfl/2014/10/2 ... y-looming/

What is going on in this locker room ? Why is this starting to feel so much different than the past few seasons. All I know is we had better get our butts in gear today n get that W.

I hate feeling this way but I really believe that the success has gone completely to the heads of some key players. Hopefully that's not the case, and a lot of this could be the media just stirring things up, but I can't shake the feeling that the locker room is a pretty tense place right now. So many damn distractions lately.

This. We are not as hungry as last year plus losing 7 major players is making it impossible to play at the same level as last year.

The Seahawks are moving away from that identity. Even if we don't like it, we are.

This is 100% Russell's team now, and I can see him quickly developing into a Brees-like QB. I hope we don't get THAT far away from the run, but I think we can all agree that this is the beginning of the end for Lynch in Seattle. Many of us hoped that maybe we would keep him next year, but the probability of that is zero.

I'd almost rather have a clean break at this point if Lynch is truly the distraction that this article says he is.

Nothing to see here. Most of us weren't expecting Lynch to see that last year of his contract.

This story was "broke" by Rapaport so I'm not putting much stock into it.
