I'm pretty sure Wilson practices against a player everyday that's much better than Collins and his name is Bobby Wagner

Prisco isn't an analyst. He uses preschool X&Os littered with confirmation bias to hide the fact he's a huge Cardinals fanboy. Not to take away from Collins, but Seattle has played better linebackers and had success.

They haven't played anyone like Wilson because there isn't anyone like him. His awareness, quickness and accuracy even on the run are ridiculous, but his biggest thing is that when it's him and a linebacker in space, that guy is going to get juked out of his socks.

He plays against multiple players like that in practice every day. They just played against Kuechly 2 games ago. Wilson played his first two years against Willis and Bowman 5 times. He's incredibly well-versed in dealing with athletic LBs. Collins won't be anything new to him.

He hasn't been trucked by Marshawn yet...
Lets wait and see how that goes!

False.

Collins is exceptionally talented - no way he's going to 'erase' Wilson though, that's asinine to say. Each player will get his.

Hello Bronco fan circa January 2014. Nice to see you again. I'm sure your defense is faster, stronger and better than the one Russell practices against every day. Appreciate you letting us know... again... Let us know how it turns out.

I like Collins, he's good, but this team faced the Willis/Bowman combo for years.

I almost went that route but the fact that the OP even posted this, shows that he hasn't watched SEA/SF games.

Kuechly, Bowman, Willis, Laurinaitis, etc. Seattle has faced plenty of rangy LBs who are excellent in space.

LOL. No disrespect to Collins, who has been playing very well. But.....
Willis, Bowman, Keuchly, want me to keep going? I can.

Our point is our offense goes up against one of the most talented LB corps in the league in practice every day, who have at least 3-4 LB's just as fast and just as aggressive as Collins........as well as playing against as talented of LB corps in our own division every year. Throw in Kam.

So while Collins is very talented, it's not like he's some never been seen opponent that our offense won't know how to attack or deal with.

By all means blitz Collins. Seattle's last eight games have been marked by an increasing ability to beat the blitz with quick throws. We beat the Panthers on that alone, and we would have beat the Packers on that alone if Kearse hadn't kept dropping the balls. (He won't have that bad a game next week. Or any other time in his career.)

Naturally Belichick is a talented schemer, but he can't put a twelfth man on the field. Blitzing leaves holes in the defense. And has your second-year boy gotten the needed experience against the zone read?

On the spying front, I've seen Wilson juke and outspin practically every LB he's come into contact with, including deserving Pro Bowlers. Not that he never gets sacked, but he has his reputation for a reason.
