ZERO FOR THREE in the Red Zone, despite playing against the Seahawks' completely new defense.
FAILED to lead his team into field-goal range late in the game, trailing by only a point.
Total offensive output against a team expected to pick in the top three in the next draft: 16 points.
Funny, all the experts told us that once CHOKERuss was freed from the shackles of Pete Carroll, he'd dominate the league. He couldn't even lead his team to victory against a team expected to win 3-6 games this season. Hahahahahahahahaha!
Despite the experts telling us that Pete insists on an outdated form of football that can't win against modern, well-coached, well-managed teams with great QBs like the Broncos, the result tonight was... *checks notes* A LOSS for the Broncos.
At least we know now why he accepted the contract extension even though he could potentially have made a lot more by playing this season first and then negotiating next offseason. In his heart, he knows how limited he is, and he had to take as much as he could get this offseason and run.
I still really dislike the Broncos from the Seahawks' days in the AFC West, so not only is this a sweet victory, but it makes me optimistic that the Broncos will spend years regretting giving CHOKERuss that contract extension instead of waiting to see how the team would perform with him running the offense.
