OMG. Of all our off season signings - I'm the most pumped about him. Seriously. Can hardly wait to see what he adds to the defense here.

I like his words!

I love the confidence, and I'm excited to see what our defense can do. I am thinking they can be the most improved defense in the league this season. They have the talent to be top 10. I just need to actually see it with my own eyes before I can fully buy in.

All of Seattle's moves seem geared to closing the gap with our renewed rival the 49ers. The 49er offense has many moving "parts"...now we do too. Those many moving parts are tough on any defense...adding CMC made it more so...our response? Go after the linchpin (49er QB) We even hired a respected Pass Rush Specialist Coach BT Jordan to address this need...Dre'Mont gives interior rush from the 3T that can nail the QB or flush him toward Uchenna or Darryl from the sides. Our improving secondary coverage "buys time" for our pass rushers to get "coverage sacks". The explosive runs from CMC and Deebo now have Wags and Bush to help limit the damage. Our secondary plays a major role also in helping to set the edge from outside zone running or nailing guys who escape our LB. Dre'Mont is the key...and probably was the major reason we didn't "reach" for a potential clubhouse disruptor (Jalen Carter).

Ok so our new DE talked the talk, in a month, we shall see how he and the front seven walk the walk.

John Schneider offered the introspect that Dre'Mont Jones was asked for during our trade...we just had to wait a year...since Denver must have "caught on" to our heavy demands for Russell who they "coveted" after failing to lure Aaron Rodger away from the Packers.

Oh wow - I did NOT know that about waiting a year.

Interesting!

What a colossal disappointment this guy has been. Averaging two tackles a game with a sack every five games. I believe the lack of his progress pushed Seattle to get Leonard Williams. A big whiff in free agency

Huge disappointment, but it seems like he has played a bit better now that he is getting reps at OLB.

Jones, Edwards, Bush, Adams, Clark, Hall...all with just no impact.
I don't think anyone really expected much of Edwards, Bush, or Clark, but Jones has been a let down, Hall is hopefully just going through the motions as a rookie, and Adams has just been downright infuriating, and not just because of his play, but his ego/attitude as well.

I liked his energy, and he won me back over for a time. But no-arms Adams has just gotta go IMO.
