Mike Holmgren said on KJR it was an ownership decision as Frank Reich and the offensive coordinator wanted C.J. Stroud. I'd assume Scott Fitterer would be in the same boat. Another case in point why overly involved owners sink teams.

CJ suffered his first professional INT today, but still pulled out a win.
An interception they fumbled back to the offense for a first down! Even the guy's mistakes work out!

You also have to wonder, would Young do better in Houston and Stroud less so in Carolina...

So hard to evaluate those QBs from top programs. You're always wondering if it's them or the players around them. It would have been easy for someone to think, well Stroud was throwing to Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, JSN, and Marvin Harrison Jr., why wouldn't he be successful? Not to mention his O-line and RBs.

Not true.

In 1991 our very own Ken Behring insisted (over vehement opposition from Chuck Knox) on taking a QB at 16, when coach wanted some hick bum from Southern Mississippi in the second.

It worked out gre...

Oh wait. Never mind.
