If he gets wired shut he's gonna lose a bunch of weight. Big it for the Rams as he will likely not be in shape for a while.

Injuries suck and I don’t wish them on anyone. ....but I’ll admit, I’m not sad about this.

I have no problem with being happy about this clown getting hurt. Others on my list are Suh and Burfict. Guys that play with dirty intent could have a career ending injury and I would be fine with that.

To bad steroids don't keep you from breaking bones. Clay would be fine if that was the case.

Saw this on Rotoworld

"Matthews was on track for career highs before going down, posting six sacks and 19 tackles over five games."

Dang. That surprised me.

Watching that hit on RW early in thread I cannot believe he wasn't suspended
that was clearly a dangerous hit.
I love hits but not something like that..It could have broken his neck and I'm
suprised RW didn't get knocked out but he is very tough.
There is no excuse for that kind of hit..Clay lost any respect I had if any.

Personally, I'm convinced Matthews broke his jaw on the illegal hit on Russell Wilson and just doesn't want to admit it. :2thumbs:

Give Mathews an action green plastic straw to eat through for the next six weeks. He is a bush league, dirty player who needs to be put on notice by the league for the rest of his cheap shot career.

Watch some highlights from the 70's and you'd not bat an eye on Matthews style of play. However this is the modern game Matthews needs to play hard but within the rules. Players that to try to inflict injury ruin the game and just hurt their team in the long run. It's not as much fun beating a team when their star's are on the sidelines. Sad thing is, Matthews is a damn good player and doesn't need to resort to cheap shots.

I gotta admit it, one of the best moments in the NFC Championship Game VS the Packers was the sideline shots on Matthews after we came back.

This is true, and just watch our season progress with Clowney.
He’s that type of player too.
Either you dedicate the personnel to stop him, or you suffer the consequences.

Campbells Soup should recruit him as the next NFL spokesman.

His mom could offer him a straw to “suck up” his dinner.

How about Clay Matthew's is handed a bowl of soup by his mother and gets up to hug her to say thanks... a ref walks in throws a flag and shouts roughing the passer 15 yards automatic first down...

Matthew's then looks down to see the soup is Campbells chunky and he shakes his fist at God?

Aaaaand scene...
