Oh come on. Do you seriously believe that? So Geno played as good as any QB could have Sunday? Good lord.
When I look at those last to plays in the red zone I do not see how any QB could have gotten away from the pass rush.

He did miss JSN wide open one time that I saw... he did miss Metcalf wide open which would have been a TD. But when I looked at the tape the one with Metcalf he was under considerable pressure and had aboutv2 seconds to throw the ball. So yeah somebody might have made that play but it would have been a definate pro bowl play.

No excuses needed; he was brutal. He won't be next Sunday.
That being said, the play calling has been strange to say the least, at least in the Red Zone. Why not pound the rock more? Why not roll him out if the O Line isn't pass blocking?

Haha, cry more. If you read the post (which you never do in any detail), you'd know I was talking about the early days of this debate when you were red-assed wrong.

Please, though, proceed with the persecution complex. I've absolutely called his play bad when it was bad in the past.

Was he wrong though? If I remember correctly werent we all just saying to be mindful of crowning Smith as some kind of a great QB because he isnt. Last season was an anomaly and most people realize that. Its doubtful he will ever reach that again.

5 TDs in 5 games doesn't sound good in a vacuum, but Seattle is #1 in getting to the redzone.

So they are getting there, but the redzone play calling leaves a lot to be desired. Geno could be better here but I think it's mostly play calling when it comes to redzone offense.
I think a lot of it is on Geno too though. He’s had multiple plays where the touchdowns are there and he doesn’t execute. But Waldron can be better here too

Not late Wilson. No way no how. Stinkers like this were commonplace in the later years. They were just blamed on the OL, "Peteball", and the OC before they were blamed on Russ.

So pretty much the same blame that Geno is receiving a pass for now.

I guess that's because I prefer our qb to not be merely good, because good enough, isn't. I want the Hawks to have a top three qb, because the last one we had won a sb. If wanting great things for the Hawks is a crime, then lock me up.

So what's your solution to getting a top 5 QB?

Cause every coach, GM and fan base wants that. You're not saying anything unique.

I mean go back and look at the tape. The two defining red zone drives at the end of the game and tell me where he went wrong.

no one is crying and defaulting to that because he disagrees with your take that Geno is elite isn’t “crying”. 5 touchdowns 3 picks(which could easily be more) through 5 games isn't elite. His second half of last year wasn't elite either. It's ok for people to be a little critical of Geno just as its ok you constantly talk about Russ who is no longer here.

Maybe Geno goes on a monster run like he did at the beginning of last year, t hat's my hope anyway.

In 2022, yes. He was very wrong. The massive thread I'm referring to is the giant Geno vs. Lock debate in the preseason.

Many of us came out and gave him MASSIVE props, several times. Clearly, it's not enough.
If ANYONE doesn't agree with your opinion that he's not top tier/elite/clutch etc., they are "crying"
It's laughable that you can't even see that I gave Geno props for me being wrong about him. I have done that SEVERAL TIMES. Being wrong is a GOOD THING when it means your team is better for it.

You seem to the be only one who's "crying" around here.

We've been thru this dance for 2 years. Piss off dude. Your act is almost as old as a Fade take. You worship an above average at best QB and get your panties in a bunch if people call him out. You talk down to everyone on here. Always have.

^^^ This is crying, my man. Also, he has been spamming every Fade post for the past year with off-topic ad hominems, which is also crying. I'm no Fade fan, but it's dreck.

He can disagree all he wants. Geno didn't play well on Sunday. I'm not saying he did, yet I'm being accused of "worship" in this thread. It's feelings-based projection.

I didn't say Geno was elite in this thread, and I'm not attacking anyone for being critical of his play.

I genuinely have no clue who or what you are talking about. It's fabrication.

Fair enough. I'm done with this guy, not worth it.
That reminder should go to him as well.
I'll take my own advice and put him on ignore.

this thread needs more cowbell.
and maybe throw some draft darts at a qb in the 2024 draft.
You guys don’t even know how good you have it with Geno on the heels of a Wilson.
Niners walked through a decade and a half wasteland of qb’s at times before even having a serviceable starter lol. tons of qb injuries.
Seahawks have not known truly bad or fragile qb play since Wilson was drafted, up to this very day.
Geno is a good qb, and you guys have a contact out anyways if you happen to hit in the draft.
lots to like about the future and the possibilities of what may come at qb for the Seahawks.

1st drive of the game was a thing of beauty too. Creative, a wide variety of play calls, high percentage stuff etc.
Not sure what they were thinking on several drives after that.
