When the Seahawks Go To The Super Bowl

Who from this board is seriously planning to attend?

I need to give this serrrrrrrious thought. It involves budgeting and game planning.

I recall that TheHawkster and his wife have already booked a hotel room and did so prior to the advent of the season.

Anyone else thinking about this?

I don't know why that question would be troll-ish...

but for me, I'm not going to have any money to do that kind of travel. I'm burning through all of it now.

I'm thinking about going to the next one. The one in San Francisco. Winning that one while drinking up all the Niner fans tears would be pure bliss.

The troll comment is a reference to a couple things but chief among them is the current of belief that we should NOT look ahead.

Guess what. Travel sometimes requires looking ahead.

Sometimes. A couple of us did Detroit on 4 days notice, but would prefer to be better prepared this time.

do season ticket holders get a chance at superb owl tickets?

I believe there is an allotment of tickets that goes to each SB participant's fanbase via a lottery system.

Some of those who went to Detroit can confirm or dispute that.

Actually, every team gets an allotment of tickets, but it's up to the team as to how they are distributed. The participant teams get the highest allotment, and I know the Seahawks returned most of those to the fanbase in a lottery drawing for XL. But doesn't look like there's anything that makes the team do that. I'd guess the Seahawks would, though. Still, it's a long shot, so be prepared for the tickets themselves to be the lions share of what it will cost to go.

fanbase = season ticket holders? would love to get a shot at them. lodging is probably going to be the big expense IMO.

As a non season ticket holder who lives about an hour away from the meadowlands, how hard would it be to buy tickets? If it's possible I will pay any price to be there.

I would love to do this, but I'm not sure I can afford it to be honest.

If I could find a way, I would. My wife loves NYC. God knows why.

On the secondary market it's going to cost at least 2.5-3k per ticket, minimum.

I'll be going to Seattle because I can't afford to go to NY. If I can't be there, I might as well be able to celebrate with the people of Seattle.

Sorry, yes. When I typed 'fanbase' I meant 'season ticket holders'.

For Superbowl XL each ticket holder got one entry per seat and then an additional entry per year they've been a ticket holder.

So this year, I would have 2 seat with 10 years as a ticket holder so I would have 11 entries out of how many other Season Ticket holders are out there.

With this years SB is New York I would love to attend. I would find a way if I won the raffle.

Time to start putting money away. Is there an official avenue to do so?
