Of course they did. Redskins fans think we do it; so they deserve to do it, too. What a classless organization.

LOL, ratting out their own stadium. Priceless.

They should. Snyder is too cheap to build an overhang to keep the noise in...and if true this is weak sauce move. Either the fans or the design of the stadium should be making the noise.

OK, thsi might be a bit tacky, but this reply made me lol - "Even tackier, after RGIII was injured they pumped in artificial stunned silence."

Please tell me you're not one of those fools that thinks our stadium magically amplifies and reflects noise more than a dome does. Does it help push noise back onto the field? Sure; but our stadium is open on both ends, and overhead, including the charter seats. Take a look at the actual stadium.

That's not total foolishness. You absolute can direct/delay/move sound. One of the clearest example of using objects to direct sound was the use of artillery. There is a long standing trick around reflecting artillery sounds away from the enemy by hiding artillery behind hills. This is just the opposite. Sound is energy, and all energy can be directed and concentrated.

Now did they intentionally design for sound, I have no idea. But that is a really loud stadium.

I saw a short making of video. The architect was huge into amplifying the crowds noise and Allen loved the idea. Yes, the stadium was specifically designed to harness the raw power of the 12th man

Not at all...I mean our old RFK stadium with 55,000 capacity makes more noise than Fed Ex...and it still has an open top.

Hmmm..Probably explains why I thought it was so "unusually" loud yesterday. I was about 5 rows from the top of the stadium up behind the Skins bench at about the 50yd line, boy it was loud. I've been to a few games at FedEx (never a playoff though) and it has NEVER been that loud.

Wouldn't surprise me to hear noise was pumped in. I made a few comments yesterday about how exceptionally loud it was.

this was a funny response on sb nation. Not funny that RG3 got hurt, though.

They play on effing cattle tundra, they pipe in crowd noise, they have a plywood box to check on RGIII's knee...and this is the second most valuable franchise in the NFL?

Keep it classy Snyder.

LOL!

I liked this one too: "Should have been pumping in artificial turf."
