I have to say this, with no offense intended...

You guys make me laugh.

To put it bluntly... you guys do realize that your team is 4-1, right?

I ask this because many of the posts here sound like they are describing a team that is below .500.

I'd say that they sound like posts on a Rams' site (where we, unfortunately, have too much to complain about these days), but some seem more appropriate in tone for a Giants, Falcons or Steelers site.

I guess this is the nature of fan message boards. Over at ClanRam, if you post something positive, you might get half a dozen responses. Post a critique of Sam Bradford, on the other hand, and you'll get dozens.

Your team will be fine. Heck, they're fine already.

So how do I expect you to respond to this?

That's simple... you'll probably attack me like a kibble-scented kitten walking into the den of a pack of hungry pit bulls.

Of course, when you do, you'll be attacking a common enemy, rather than arguing about the Seahawks.

You're welcome.

No argument here. It's endemic to message boards in general. I also think Seahawks fans are just used to expecting things to fall apart. At the same time, there's a lot of buzz about the team, so people are yo-yoing between optimism and gloom.

Actually compared to the kvetching that usually follows a loss around here (at least from what I could tell from years of lurking), the reaction seems to be pretty mild. Yeah we're 4-1 and yes we are positive about the outlook, but that doesn't mean we are blind to some serious issues that our team faces. Does that mean we'd trade places with the Rams? Not in your life! (No offense intended)

Glad we could get a couple laughs out of you here. Gives you a break from all of the tears. Good luck on battling the Jags on the Bridgewater sweepstakes

You're not entirely wrong.

One of the reasons I come here from time to time is that I get tired of the constant whining on Rams sites (including ClanRam). Sure, we have problems, but you'd think that we were LITERALLY in the Bridgewater sweepstakes (we're not, of course) by the way some Rams fans rip the team.

Yeah, I really haven't seen anything remarkably close to some of the meltdowns from last year (see: Miami). I was over the Colts loss by the next day, but I still come here to discuss some of things we can improve on and whatnot. It only seems logical that most of the discussion following a loss would have a more negative tone.

This is the wrong place to come to if you're tired of whining.

You guys should be hoping for Bridgewater. Bradford is not the guy.

So, what you're saying is, this site is just like ClanRam...

Every thread turns into a Sam Bradford thread.

Unlike you and your front office and team, we are always looking to improve in any way so we can kick your ass.

Agreed. Three out of those four wins came against quality opponents, too. I really don't understand why there are so many negative nellies around here. The offensive line is a concern, but it's damn near the only weakness we have on the entire team. We are going to win a lot of games this year and we are entering a much easier part of our schedule. If the offense picks up the pace, we will be blowing teams out just like we did in the latter half of last year.

I'm sorry the Rams hired a crappy OC, he basically ruined Sanchez so I feel bad for Bradford too. Waste of potential talent.

If you posted that at ClanRam, most (including me) would probably agree with you.

I think most fans were upset with the officiating and how the game went on more than anything.

I think some fans around only like to talk about the negative aspect of the games, win or lose.

I think some fans were mad because they bought into the hype of great expectations and they expect to see this team blow out everyone.

I think all those together at once puts a doom and gloom into full effect

However, many of us remain realist, we might hope for the best, but were still grounded in the actuality. And that's Colts game will be as hard as they come on our Schedule and the Seahawks squandered numerous chances to not only put them away but to blow them out down some key O-linemen.

I was proud of the Seahawks after the game but at the same time there were certain miss opportunities and a lack of effort that would rile up even the loyalist of fans.

However, its rather calm down here now, many have vented, or stayed away for a couple of days and got their swag back... and most of us are on to the next week... hoping the Seahawks can start a new winning streak and stay ahead of the NFC West and keep the Saints close until we play them.

Part of the issue is the 12th man effect.

Everyone gets way invested like they are part of the team rather than just part of the fan base. When you lose you take it pretty hard, in that situation.
