If so the over/under on playoff wins next year is .5. And I would bet the house on under.
He'll have his people perform like last offseason and he'll keep playing the innocent card as if it's out of his hands.Sgt. Largent":2j1fewu2 said:You may be right sutz, but holy moly is Russell going to try his hardest to get out of Seattle if Pete's back.
While I want Pete gone, I don't think Jody has the stomach to fire Pete before his contract's up. I think she's going to give him a chance to turn things around.
Going to be one hell of a wild off season I can tell you that. Because I'm going to be SHOCKED if Russell doesn't put on a full court press to get traded.

Part of me wonders how much of this from him is just his representation's way of keeping his name in the forefront of the NFL world's mind? I can totally see a meeting between Russell, his agent, and his marketing agency where they're discussing when to start the trade buzz to maximize his Q score or whatever your marketability rating is called these days

Which Russ knew. Not this year, but last when he tried to go to the Bears.
If Russ was all-in for 2022, we'd already know. There wouldn't be a public statement from him saying "Hope it won't be my last game with the Seahawks, but DEFINITELY not my last NFL game." A man all in on the team doesn't say that.
Russ is not all-in. He has a heavy contract and can still be traded for up to two No. 1 picks plus others. Which gives Pete his prove-it deal. A year with a bridge QB, finishes with something like seven or eight wins, that sets the stage for Pete to have the say in who we pick for the draft.
It is bad to not wish the Hawks a more fruitful 2022. But in this case it may be necessary to get on with the stage of football rebuilding that follows denial, post haste.

Not the way I'd hope it would go with Wilson, but a possibility, and if he's really that unhappy they almost have to deal him. Honestly, with a game manager QB that's buying in, I think this team can still do some damage next year. I'd hope that a game like the one Wilson just played in would emphasize that if he plays WITH a strong run game and takes the focus off himself, he winds up with fantastic stats and rep anyways. But, what do I know.

That's true for literally every qb ever

Slow offensive starts have been the norm for a while.
The defense has trouble stopping Amon St Brown and he was pretty much the only offense the Lions had other than their offensive line catching touchdowns.
You really take beating the Lions as the reason to want to continue with how the team is comprised of.
You don’t play the Lions 12 times a year.
The off season will come down to typical decisions, who is set to be paid, what free agents are available, how do you proceed with what draft picks you have, is the current makeup of the team something you can see developing into contenders in the future, do you want to free cap space, are the coaches the right people to lead your franchise, are the players worthy enough to keep and extend.
You always take the best win of the season and the worst loss of the season and you throw them out of the equation because the true makeup of your team is always somewhere in between.
Seattle should make significant changes cause like it or not, Seattle isn’t a playoff caliber team with the current setup.
Beating the Lions does not change this.

It all so simple..let Russ cook...there's your 12 wins..Tokadub":2ye5t24l said:TheLegendOfBoom":2ye5t24l said:I think destroying the Lions has clouded your vision and impression of how dysfunctional this team is.
EXACTLY!
The posters saying we will magically be 12+ wins with Russ + Carroll sound delusional to me.
I'm waiting for at least 1 SINGLE REASON why we might be better next season if we keep everything the same.
I'm aware I haven't considered every possibility of using our money and player capital this off-season...
I'm all ears to listen if anyone has a good reason why it will work and what we can do to DRASTICALLY change this teams trajectory... Somehow I doubt any of these +12 win posters have a single idea...

If Russ and everyone is here next season we are not going 12 wins. More like 9 I think.
Keep in mind I was the guy who predicted we would have 7 wins this season...
You are going to have to explain why you think we will be better magically next season? If it's Rashad Penny I highly doubt he will make it through the first 5 games unscathed.
If it's Jamal Adams... I predicted he would be injured this season, and last season and EVERY season...
You've got to provide some kind of scenario why we would get better.
Personally I think Russ will be traded and I think that's the only way this franchise can proceed for another Super Bowl shot in Pete's life time.
We will suck next season but maybe the season after that we are back in business (if we trade Russ).
Russ isn't as good anymore guys... his finger is dangling and his legs aren't the same.
So unless someone has an amazing idea what we can do to get BETTER next season, I think we will be bad either way with or without Russ. We should trade Russ though he is playing like a $15,000,000 QB but getting paid two times more, it's simple mathematics.

And that's half the point. Wilson doesn't seem to recognize that Rodgers, Brady, Mahomes, etc... ALL get there stats when accompanied by a strong run game. Not many QB's throw the ball all over the yard successfully without one.

Hasn't the sun already set on Ciara's career? Isn't she a Indian casino kinda performer at this stage? or I am totally wrong?

However, the negativity and Pete hate is very strong here. Maybe Waldron's O has finally been adopted and we will see a positive output against the Cardinals.
Pn'J and RW will all be back next season as will Penny, Adams and many others.
The Pete hate will stay strong here and the BS about Wilson wanting to leave the team will continue to be spun with little to zero actual basis in fact.
