Dennis Johnson, Gus Williams, Arod, Easley, I could go on. Now you talk popular it becomes different, but physically gifted as a athlete I think there is a lot of room for additions, Mike Cameron was a really good athlete as well.

That doesn't even take in consideration the Huskies, Cougs and Seattle U, guy named Elgin Baylor played there.

That's a fair point- during their Seattle careers I'd bet that Griffey was probably near the top of the league in WAR every single year and Johnson was probably top 15, for the reason you listed. That said, Griffey only had two legitimately good seasons after leaving Seattle. Randy Johnson on the other hand stayed at an elite level for the better part of the 00's, in fact he had some of his best seasons with the Diamondbacks. So I think as Mariners, yeah, probably Griffey. But career wise, RJ.
