That's my take, too. Russ has isolated himself from the rest of the world, lives in a bubble, mentally screens out anything negative, sees only the good things said about him, lives in the past. In other words, he's tone deaf. It's truly sad, because he's basically a good guy, or at least I feel he's a good guy. Such is life.
Spot on…he’s my favorite Seahawk QB of all time. However things in his life changed after the fateful INT at the goal line. The team was fractured almost beyond repair…and Pete did a great job keeping it together with duct tape and glue.

Russ owes Pete a debt of gratitude, and it’s a shame he took the direction he did.

It was only done due to his fragile ego and lack of true leadership.

I'd give myself a greater chance of owning the Seahawks someday than Russ winning 3 to 4 more Super Bowls, which he said was his goal right after he weaseled his way out of Seattle.

Maybe he needs to run for president

Also a true measure of presidency over the last 8 years. Just run for office and stop throwing the ball... More money to be had.

Russell would have been one of my ATF Hawks if he had retired in 2015.

Russell played minor league baseball here in the Tri Cities long before his NFL days. Him and several of his teammates stayed at a host parent's house during the summer, and just prior to the SB, the local paper did a story on the lady who hosted them. She said that the other two would go out and party, but Russ would stay home, and that one time at about 3am in the morning, she got up and noticed a light on in the living room. It was Russell studying his "North Carolina (State) stuff." I loved his bio, and he seemed genuinely humble.

But from 2016 on, Russell disappointed me. He had changed significantly from the aw shucks kind of guy he was in his first few years. Part of it was my fault as much as it was his as I grew weary of his cliches and his demeanor in general. He was over exposed. I got tired of seeing him. But a lot of it had to do with the things that others have documented countless times about him, and I see no need to reiterate what so many have said.

My two ATF Hawks are Steve Largent and Walter Jones.

Someone mentioned the Colts and that is a no go as they have
Daniel Jones / AR ..
Pitt doesn't want him back obviously so the Giants may be the only
chance he has to start or go sit on the bench somewhere.

Well Vikings say they are out of the Rodgers pursuit, Flacco, Wilson, Cousins in a Trade, or a lower marquee QB as a back up and mentor to McCarthy now. Can't see them as a primary destination for Wilson, but in desperation to stay in the league and maybe fix his reputation of being difficult maybe.
I would expect Flacco to be the guy the Vikings sign it is the same offense he played in when he was with the Browns and looked good in

The employment situation for Russell Wilson is getting critical:
  1. Giants signing QB Jameis Winston to two-year, $8 million deal.
  2. Steelers offered to Fields before he signed with Jets, now talking to Rodgers in person.
  3. Jets signed Fields
  4. Raiders rather trade for geNO instead of signing Wilson.
  5. Seahwks signed Darnold, didn't even talk with Wilson.
  6. Vikings are talking to Flacco?
  7. Colts may be out also?
Browns maybe the last opening ????? Any Canadian teams offered yet? This is their once in a lifetime chance to hand a 10x probowl, 1 time all pro, QB with a celebrity wife.

The Titans are supposedly one possible landing spot.

I said it at the end of last season, he would not be signed prior to the regular season this year. It speaks volumes that teams would pass on him over guys like Winston and Jones.

What a sad end to his career…and no he’s not going into the HOF. Ain’t happening

His crowning post career achievement will be the Seahawks ring of honor in a few years…that is if he hasn’t already screwed that up as well. I’m thinking the organization didn’t take too kindly of him trying to get the winningest coach and GM of all time fired behind closed doors.

I think Ciara would love Winnipeg Hamilton or Regina...only problem is the qb's on those teams are better than Russ...in fact..I dont think he makes the cfl for any team as he can't run and can't get the ball off fast enough. Maybe the Ufl? Xfl? Nfl Europe? What about MLB?

Good call, I thought one stupid team like the Browns would do it but it
looks like the NFL is done with him.
