They overplayed the FB in the flat that play.

That and being worried about Wilson beating them with his legs, which he had been doing all game. It was still sweet though.

As for the OP, we ran a lot of slants and quicker routes this game.

I don't have access to All 22, so I'm not sure if teams were taking that away from us, our WRs weren't able to win those routes, or if we just weren't running those routes at all. I do know that I saw a lot of quick hitters this game and it worked very well.

It's scary, there's not much this offense or QB can't do.

He is becoming a complete QB. And that has to be scary for the rest of the NFL.

He seems to be targeting every weakness he has/had and works it through every week until that weakness is gone.

The really cool thing is that Russell & Co. are learning to excel at every kind of offense, the run game, the deep ball, the short passing game, the quick throws, the delayed throws, you name it, they can do it. Take away the run game? We'll kick your butt through the air!

Not really, during the early parts of the season he was running for his life almost immediately after the snap. Which forced him to bail out of the pocket and create on the fly. These last few games he's had no pressure on him and has been able to stand back and pass uncontested. It's really quite amazing the dramatic difference having Okung and Breno back has done for the pass protection. The running game has taken a step back, it will take get going

I firmly believe that the coaching staff knew this was a playoff team and held back. I am not saying that they were so confident in winning that they didn't do their best but they didn't open up the full playbook. THey worked on different areas and in the last couple of games it has come together. There was one drive against the Titans that was complete domination and we just marched up the field and scored the TD. That was the first time this year I saw it all come out

Better protection, more quick screens and slants and more experience makes for a better QB, especially when he prepares relentlessly already.

I feel this was the sneaky benefit of playing behind the patchwork O-line all season. The offense was sort of forced to evolve very, very quickly and our WRs learned to execute those plays on the fly. Some QBs shrink in those situations. Russell got better.
