Will Lumen transform Rattler into Dan Marino For one day?

A lot of it is the dynamic of taking teams too lightly. This happens to a lot of teams in the NFL, not just the Seahawks.
Yep. Tell me you don't watch other teams without telling me you don't watch other teams.

And another part of it is opponents lacking tape on the backup QB, which means they don't get to gameplan for him.

Plenty of backups who have lost to Seattle over the years.

My bigger concern is 3/4 of the secondary being out.

I’m seriously worried. I’ve been a fan too long and this is the kind of dude who has a career day against the Seahawks only to lose the next 6 in a row all to the Jets.

Lumen does this to people.

Colt McCoy going 3-0 against the Seahawks while never doing a darn thing anywhere else.
Drew Stanton of the Cardinal’s winning at Lumen in 2017 only to take a job at Office Max shortly thereafter.
Marcus Mariota in a Falcons W playing in Lumen and being so possessed I think he caught his own pass IIRC.
2019 saw HOF’er Drew Brees sit out at Lumen only to have Terry Bridgwater throw two TD’s in a Saints win.
Mason Rudolph beating the Seahawks in Seattle with a playoff spot on the line.

And don’t get me started on road losses to the likes of Nick Mullins and Taylor Heinicke.

I know I’m missing some guys as well.

Be afraid, be very afraid. So far Mac has exorcised the demons, but let’s not sleep on this kid.
Matt Moore looking like Johnny Friggin' Unitas.

^^^^^^^ There is always one who can't resist trying to swim against the current.
If the 12s can put 7 of the last eight behind them and make enough noise to shake the earth and make Saints ears hurt when they have the ball we should do fine.
Bring your ear plugs!

No matter what coaches might say to the team, the players are thinking, we're playing a team that's 0-2 and some scrub is their quarterback.
Except they do have Sam Darnold continuously reminding them (I imagine he's doing this) otherwise that no QB is an actual scrub and that any QB can beat any team on any Sunday.

(I'm just reminded in that highlight vid during the Steelers game where Sam was reminding the players to stay sharp, and that the game wasn't over yet)

The Saints aren't nearly as bad as people make them out to be. And they're going to be desperate for a win.
THIS.

Hawks have to expect that they're going to be getting the Saints BEST SHOT this Sunday and they have to be ready.

I'd say that Rattler is slightly more than just a "scrub". At one point he was #1 rated QB coming out of college before some old off-the-field issue affected his status. He definitely isn't the second coming of Drew Brees, but he also doesn't suck. I just saw something showing Rattler as the 9th rated QB (79.7) after two games by PFF. I certainly don't put a lot of stock in PFF, but it is what it is.

Yes, I agree. I saw his last game, and I came away impressed. But he hasn't gotten much respect, even from his own team, who drafted Tyler Shough because they had little confidence in Rattler.

Guido! Great to see you on here. I hope you and yours are well.

I'm of the opinion that the Saints have a couple of really talented young signal callers on the roster. I can probably name 8 teams that would rather have the Saints QB situation (long term) than their own. Let's try: Miami for sure. Likely Indiannapolis and Pittsburgh. Certainly Cleveland. Maybe Jaxsonville and Arizona (I would, rather than have those contracts for Kyler and Lawrence). Possibly Las Vegas. Probably the Jets.

And who wouldn’t want this Bourbon Street wingman on their practice squad to help bring in the cougs.

Seahawks let Taysom Hill beat the shit out of them recently. 4 TD’s and was named NFC Offensive Player of the week. No need to convince me that Rattler is capable of carrying his team to victory.

Nice to see you still doing the forum rounds Guido (y) . You've long been my favourite Saints poster.

That was in the days of Pete Carroll, trading away our best players and 1st round picks for some "was-been" player and giving him a huge contract, thereby pissing off our long time players, and...AND...passing on 3 Time Pro Bowl Center Creed Humphrey for who? What was that guys name?
