Hang nail for someone to IR or will a player be looking for a new team?

I think I would try to sneak Jennings onto the PS.

Yeah probably Ursua or Jennings, and it'll also mean less snaps for Poona and Wood.

Which is a good thing, the ideal situation for your D-line is for a good rotation for both your DE's and DT's of only playing about 60% of the snaps.

Plus it's going to take Reed 2-3 weeks to get into game shape. So honestly, I don't expect a whole lot from him for a couple games.

I seriously doubt it would be a DL right now. Probably a DB or WR where we have too many on the 53 roster.

If WR I would guess Jennings goes on IR like a redshirt year in college. I'm sure they can say he has lingering health issues for the season.

If a DB any of the back end safety's either waived or IR as well. Take your pick.

7 WRs and 11 DBs on the roster so somewhere in there.

Of course another option is shaquem Griffin. We are getting great special teams play from the rookies so Griffin's talents are less important and he's probably 6th on the LB depth chart.

Agree, however they could put Jackson on IR.

I don't think Jackson is going anywhere quite yet -- the DL depth still isn't great and there are bigger numbers elsewhere. Jackson has played well and I don't think his injury is worth IR.

The thing about Jackson is that he's unlikely to go anywhere and can be maintained on the PS/Ghost roster.

While we have big numbers at WR and DB, these are young guys with upside that other teams will likely take off waivers to develop.

But I'm thinking that Shaquem is the best candidate right now since I'm not seeing a role beyond special teamer and I can't see too many teams making a roster spot for a second year guy without a hand who's merely a special team try hard player.

Won't be Shaq, and he is not the best prospect as well he is a major contributor on all the special teams, you don't get rid of speed. It will be someone who is limited on special teams or does not play at all and is in a place of more depth, we really don't have a lot of over all depth at LB and Shaq can also play a DE in situations.

Since Jennings was the one the team originally submitted a couple weeks ago to be released to make room (but the team rescinded the next day and opted to cut Mone) I would think he's next in line to be cut and join the PS.

And I cannot envision any other team out there just waiting in the wings to grab Jennings for their 53.

This talk of Jennings getting picked up off the PS first I don't believe it second who cares let them have him he's just taking up a roster spot.

It has got to be Shaquem this time. He can be waived and make the practice squad. No one will pick him up, so he is the best option. And no, he is not an "ace" special teamer. He actually just lost his featured gunner role to I believe Amadi. Special teams will not suffer without Shaquem.

Shaquem wouldn't be missed . He will have to be dealt with sooner or later anyway.
