Mike Holmgren...Time to acknowledge the fantastic career of an all-time great

I really like this idea... Mike Holmgren would be fantastic, and it would put everything in place... Love this possibility... Make it happen!

SA was interviewed and he is wanting to do it and the Hawks want him to do it, but they are waiting for a playoff game (I assume the same for Holmgren).

I would love to see Macklemore do it and after doing a pregame session out in the north lot..

They do when they make absolutely no sense outside the fact that he was a 49er and if that's the joke; pretty tasteless joke. I'm assuming the poster was generally interested in people's opinions on whom they genuinely believe could/should raise the 12th Man Flag. Alex Smith has never been involved with the Seahawks Organization, the Pacific Northwest Community nor has been an icon outside of the NFL and therefore has no reason to take part in that tradition.

Calm down guy. It was a joke because of Alex Smith being from Seattle/being screwed over by Harbaugh.

How about Soundgarden? I would love to see Cornell sing the National Anthem!

I was there when Matt Cameron raised the flag with another musician from AIC, I believe. It was before a Bears game.

Well... I have to concur with Kenny Easley... if not Eugene Robinson. I think the guy raising the 12th Man Flag should be a guy that makes a statement to the Niners. Having a former All Pro Safety for the Seahawks raise the flag says "Our Safeties are better than yours and that's going to make the difference in this game."

I would love it if Hansen did it. That guy is 100% Seattle hero, not because of the money, but because he was a big enough fan to work for everything.

Adam West or Rainn Wilson
I like that Rainn Wilson is a hawk fan but does anybody still watch The Office? That show stopped being funny 5 years ago.

That is my vote too. Or perhaps Shawn Springs.

You didn't just use Shawn Springs name in the same sentence as Kenny Easley's...did you?? Had Owens pulled that Sharpie out on Easley, he would have retired a 49er. ;)

In all seriousness, #45 is my all time favorite Hawk but I don't know his realtionship with the team. Different owners and all that but this team did Kenny Easley some serious injustice and I wouldn't be shocked, or blame him, if he still holds a grudge against us.
