as TB went up 21-0 yesterday?

I was at the game, decided to go grab another beer and some grub as TB went up 14 -0. As soon as I got to the food line I see on the TV the Kearse kick off fumble and TB recovery. A couple plays later I see the TB freaking half back jump pass for an easy TD, Bamm 21-0, WTF?

Then, I looked to see how much time was left on the clock. OK, I'm thinking there's enough time for Wilson to drive and score. 5 plays or so later, Hawks TD! Ok, 21-7 going in at half I was confident that our boys would come out and do work.

So I went back up to my seats and watched it happen. I can honestly say for about 2 seconds I had a slight doubt if they would pull it out as Wilson threw the bad pick in the Red zone. But, with 6:00 minutes or so on the clock, I just felt that the D would stand up and get Wilson the ball back, and Wilson and Co. would drive and score.

At the OT coin toss loss, I was confident that the D would come through and force TB off the field. Then I have to say it was great watching the Beast eat on that final drive!

There's just something about this team that even on a day when they play like crap they are still in it with a chance to win at the end.

I was concerned when TB went up 21-0 and then early in the third qtr when TB went up 24-7 because our defense hadn't then stopped TB from scoring. My concern was not that we couldn't come back. I had total confidence that we were. The only doubts I had was if there would be enough gametime left to do it. However, I had confidence that if anyone could get it done, it would be Wilson.

I missed the first half and a bit, so came in to see the score at 24-7, and yet I sat down and watched the remainder as I was confident we could win.
The red zone INT was disappointing as I felt we were on the way to winning in regulation at that point, but only that I now knew it would almost certainly have to go to OT to win

Honestly I wasn't too worried, yea 21-0 looked bad... and I had thoughts about how embarrassing it would be to get beat by the Bucs at home.

But I thought they had a good chance to come back, the Bucs going up 21-0 was just so fluky, just crazy inspired random momentum.

Just ride it out, and go back to work.

at 21-0 I was pretty down in the dumps...when we got back to 21-7 at the half I felt we had a good chance to win.

I think the Golden 'Pinball Wizard' Tate punt return was the turning point for me when I knew we had all the momentum and would win the game. I was not worried in OT I thought the only thing that could beat us was some sort of fluke play or an INT return.

These refs are killing us, but we will be alright.

i was sitting at home, after they scored the second TD all i could do is chuckle and scratch my head and say to myself, who they hell is this team?

After the Kearse fumble and they scored again, i said uh oh, this is quite the hole we've dug ourselves in. But i had all the confidense in the world we could come back if we made the right adjustments. Once the second half started and they drove down and kicked the field goal, i was thinking did we make any adjustments?

Once we got rolling i knew we'd win.. I did however start to worry just a smidge when Russ threw the redzone pick. Actually the only worry was are we going to have enough time. Once we tied it up with a 1:55 to go I had flashbacks of the ATL game, but then realized we're facing the buc's not falcons, plus we'd been stopping them most of the second half.

all and all, i was very pleased that we were able to get focused and take care of business. Finally saw glimpses of what this offense is capable of doing.

Not happy about RW taking those huge hits though,.. that does concern me.

My honest thoughts: We need to figure out why this keeps happening. However, I still had confidence that we could come back, it was just looking bleak.

I kinda felt like I did during the Redskins playoff game last year, that once our D settled down and the other team stopped getting all the breaks we'd chip our way back into it.

Not saying I thought we'd come all the way back and win, but for some reason our D panics and gets out of position when adversity hits and our offense takes three quarters to get their poop together. NOT a good trend if this teams fancies themselves as a SB contender.

Was at the game. To be honest I didn't think TB would score another point after they went up 21-0. I told myself that was it, and we would come back and win.

I never counted us out but I did contemplate what it would feel like taking the sounder train home after a loss to a bad team. This year is the first year as season ticket holders for the hawks, but last year we went to every game via purchasing a 5-game plan and then buying single game tickets.

In two seasons of going to games, the only time I've ever had to leave a stadium knowing what a loss felt like was after heading home from candlestick last year when my cousin and I went down to cheer on the hawks in SF.

Of course TB did score another field goal but I can't say I was surprised that we came back and won the game.

We're playing our WORST football right now. And still winning. I'm just glad it's mid-season and we have time to fix it before it starts costing us games.

I was with the Sea Pimp, so at half we discussed how the 12's would react being that a good 30% aren't true bleed blue fans. Thanks to the Tate punt return, it got the fair weather fans back in it.

I had the NFL.com Gamecenter going while I was working on sanding/staining some shelves. When it got to 21-0, I just rolled my eyes and thought, "Ugh."

And I'll admit to a part of me thinking, "Just turn it off and see how it turned out later."

But recalling last year's Atlanta game and this year's Houston game, I decided to keep it on, and I felt that if we managed to get some kind of score before halftime, the 2nd half would be quite manageable.

After all, if there's one thing that this team does now, it's make games close at the end. They don't win every time, but they just don't get blown out. It's a mark of a team that doesn't give up.

And lo and behold, the Hawks began to claw their way back. And it worked out that I was waiting for the first layer of stain to dry on the shelves while the 4th quarter/OT played out, so I was able to go nuts as the Hawks tied it up and then won. :)

I yelled at the tv, threw an imaginary glass of water at the wall. I yelled at a dog that I don't have. I did some kick-ass Jackie Chan looking karate stuff in the middle of my living room. Yelled at the tv some more.

Then I spent the entire half walking up and down the streets of my neighborhood looking for someone that resembled like Mike Carey so I could open hand-bitch slap them in their ear.

Then I went back home and did this.........

You just know when Mike Carey refs one of our games at least 3 or 4 calls are going against us, it never fails.

The encouraging thing I'm hearing is that even though the Hawks went down 21-0, the 12's were still confident the Hawks would prevail, that is pretty special.

This was the first time all season that I doubted this team. I was watching it with some friends of ours and when it got to 21 - 0, I said I didn't think we could win this one. The crowd was dead, the team looked like crap on both sides of the ball, and the officiating was terrible.

I kept watching though, and they started to look like an NFL team again. The crowd woke up, players started actually doing things right, and the officials went our way in the second half.

That was the most pathetic first half I have seen from this team. At no point in any other game have I not had full confidence in the Hawks. This game actually had me worried for a while.

In section 124 and I said multiple that no matter what happens, when the game is over the Seahawks will be the winner. I actually got a little concerned when the short toss was picked, but looking at the clock and how the defense decided to start tackling, it was never really in doubt to me. I just get the feeling that RW just doesn't allow losses.

307 here and the time remaining was the key for me as well, I am one of those fans who is always concerned, but given the fluky nature of TB's points and how much time there was left I thought of it more in terms of "looks like this is going to be a very tough game" rather than "oh no we are going to get blown out." Everybody sitting near me seemed to feel the same way, because I didn't see one single person in my section leave before the winning field goal went through the uprights.

I sat in my seat with a chest cold staring blankly at the scoreboard thinking how it had to be a mistake. Maybe it was my cold meds? Surely the scoreboard should be flipped around?

I still had faith. I was not going to accept our first loss at home in the last 12 attempts coming from a 0-7 team.

Isoroku Yamamoto's famous quote kept coming to mind. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the Japanese Navy Marshal General was quoted as saying, "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

Correct sir!

I went outside to smoke right before the Bucs scored their second touchdown. When I came back inside the score was 21-0. I promptly kicked my dog.
