Close between pass protection and pass rush, but I voted pass protection. Our defense is still elite when we dont generate very much rush, like today. But our offense struggled a ton today when we couldnt keep Wilson upright

To early to tell. I guess i'll choose injuries since that's the one thing we have no control over.

I'm going with pass pro. Without it, Russell can't be Greatness like we know he's capable of. Even The Chosen One can only do so much without any time to throw the ball.

I voted Injuries. I think a lot of the pressure came from not getting the ball out to the first or second read.

I went "other".

The Other is the OL in general. We're going to have to get better in pass pro, and in run blocking.

Our downfield strikes are based on a solid run game, with PA mixed in. We also like to maul people. We threw a lot of plays away today, running head first at a superior DL when the short passing game was working better. Pete wants to establish the run, whether we're able to, or not. Shades of Ground Chuck today.

Lol +1.

I think the pass rush will be fixed when our some of our top pass rushers are back. It's concerning though heading into next week. Thus leaves the pass protection as the big concern.

Dunno if it is the terrible Packers defense or not, but it looks like the 49ers' offense could be a bit of a problem. Our pass protection was wretched, too.

Had to go with the 9ers. More than any other season, I think we'll be tracking a division rival all season, parsing every game outcome, sweating out every possible combination of their w/l versus ours. Their talent makes every game on our sched a 'must win' one.

I went with injuries, I think what we saw today was a very big test of the worst situation we will deal with, not really in football shape as far as playing, hot and humid, rusty, and against a defense that is going to be getting headlines soon if the offense there steps up.

Besides we also are not a pure pocket passing team, we run and roll out to our advantage.

I wouldn't vote for pass rush just yet. We still have Irvin, Clemons, and Avril out. Once they're back in, we'll see.

Will know more after next weekend but comparing teams today us and the ninnirs aren't in the same universe. They look pretty damned good.

Now going for it on 4th & 2 to close out the Pack. Just trying to draw them offsides.

Going for it anyway. got it and game about over with 2 and a half left.

Not sure if this is #1 reason but absolutely no TE depth. The loss of McCoy will hurt.

We play some tough road games this year, so if our pass pro and pass rush don't improve dramatically, we won't have a home playoff game.

Totally! As fans, we need to make sure we focus on the next opponent. One game at a time fans!

It's hard to pass protect when your QB holds the ball for 10 seconds. Wilson needs to make quicker decisions in the pocket.

Atlanta and Detroit are my biggest concerns.
It's all about style of play with huge WR's.
Big WRs do pretty well against us. They command too much attention downfield.

Went with other.

Unless the team goes 16-0 there are unknowns out there. Other teams who want to get on that magic ride as well. Our team is good and talented. Some may think they are a machine but besides the team's own internal issues, there are outside forces who will present a roadblock, no matter how buttoned down the team becomes.

Wonder what the mood will be like in 7 weeks?
