Colorado Rockies.

I don't root for any other NFL teams. I either hate a team or am indifferent to it. I'll hope that the indifferent teams beat the teams I hate, or if it's equal, I'll hope for whatever outcomes makes the Seahawks' road to the postseason easier. Hell, I barely watch NFL games if they don't involve the Seahawks (though when I do, it's a much less stressful experience).

I'll hope for Auburn guys to do well for other teams, though.

That's kind of the reason I don't and will never play fantasy football. Eventually one of the players on my FFL roster would end up in a situation where I'd have to root for him to do well, even though it hurts the Seahawks chances at a playoff spot.

I commend vols for having principles. At least there's two of us on this board.

No, no... This is what non fantasy players always say, but it's totally wrong. You never have to cheer for another team to beat your team, just because you want points from a player. Your players can have great days without their teams winning. Heck, for receivers and qbs, sometimes you're better off if they are getting creamed the whole day (because then they will pass more).

In some cases though, I will bench players going up against the Seahawks. Usually it's a good idea to bench players against the Seahawks defense anyway (so we're lucky in this way). But, this doesn't even come up as much as you think.

I've got Andrew Luck on a team. I could not care less whether the Colts win or lose, I just want that freak to pass a lot. Same with any other player... I don't care how the team does really, I just want things to fall into place for the player to have a great day.

Really the best thing about fantasy football is how it makes otherwise boring games interesting. It can be a giant blowout, but I'm still totally into it, hoping for those big garbage-time points.

Oh... For the love of Cthulu, would you change that avatar already? It makes me a little nauseous every time I see it. It's worse than all these freaky Halloween avatars all the mods are using.

(to the actual topic :my bad team is the Browns like many others)

I'm a huge Cubs fan. I loved Leon Durham, Lee Smith and Jody Davis in the early/mid 80s and now I can't quit on those hacks. I was at the Bartman game. Cost me a damn fortune to witness one of the most deflating sports moments in history. I hate that I love those bastards.

Its not in me to root for an NFC team, but I find myself cheering on the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags because of the ex-seahawk players and coach Bradley and the Texans because the fan base hasn't had a good reason to celebrate its team in years. I've got a friend who's a Texans fan and he's full of hate for how the Oilers were moved to Tennessee, so it got me hoping they get some good luck on their side.

I think that is the football equivalent of dividing by zero, and nobody wants that.
