If you had to choose one guy to play over there head this year who would it be? For me it's probably Tharold Simon. Our pass defense just hasn't felt the same since Maxwell left, if Simon can be a solid number 2 I think we're superbowl bound again. Who you got?

I'm going to go with a pass rushing DT (could be any of our DTs). Consistent pocket-collapsing pressure up the middle will do wonders for our defense. In regards to Simon, it would be nice for him to have a breakout year, but I'm very confident with Lane on the outside if Simon doesn't pick up his game.

Take Russell out of the equation and the answer by far is Garry William. If he is not at least adequate, Russell dies and looks horrible in the process. If he plays great, Russell continues to improve from the pocket.
On defense, I will agree with pass rush from the DT position.

Tharold Simon, or maybe an interior pass rusher.
Frank Clark. We are short on edge rushers. Just look at the Superbowl to see what kind of impact top edge rushers have. Leo is the most important position on our defense. Also, if Avril goes down and Clark can't do the job we're screwed.

Rawls and Collins......It seems like common sense, but it still comes down to on 2nd and 10 or 3rd and 2....are these running downs and passing downs where we can put either player on the field and run, throw screens and mix in a draw play.....and can they protect the ball when we know teams are going to tackle the football.
CB, DT and the OL is pretty stacked, just lacks experience.....the exposure you have is whether we are going to be reliant on Michael as your 3rd RB.

The obvious answer is quarterback and the O-line, but outside of that I would have to say we really need to get pass protection back to where it was. That is what killed us last year in all of those 4th qtr comebacks so I would have to say the CB opposite Sherm is going to be one key. This new hybrid position that Browner is training for looms large also as we were killed by TE's last year too.

I'd go with either Gilliam or Jefferson to answer the question. Protecting Wilson and getting interior pressure will be the key on each side of the ball.
