From my understanding, the Bengals have inserted some clause in the contract which somehow negates the rookie guaranteed money....contrary to the CBA. It's not him at all. He just doesn't want to set precedent by signing something that doesn't even comply with the CBA. Honestly, how can the Bengals even propose this if it is not compliant? As far as him leaving, he is not an employee of the Bengals until he signs, so should he really be there?

Most teams have language in the rookie contract that says that if you screw up in some major way--i.e. get suspended for off-field behavior, take PEDs, etc--that your guaranteed money for that year is gone. The Bengals in the Shemar Stewart contract want to change that so all your guaranteed money is gone if you have one of these incidents. It's a dumb thing for the Bengals to be insisting on when no one else in the league does it.

Id have trouble caring like i do about my work if i had to work for a crap boss

I, for one, would welcome him with open arms if I was JS.

It's a pipe dream but imagine if we got Shemar Stewart to go with Emmanwori?

The check out teller knew only as much as I did about shemar and he emphatically agreed their owner is a cheapskate as he's a bengals fan and said this is what their front office does so I actually feel shemar is in the right , without knowing any additional info of course but really sounds like they're being jerks and their owner does stuff like this on the regular so if we could snag another guy because another owner is being a jerk i'd gladly give him a 5th for the 1st he wasted cuz a kid stood up for himself , woof , he really made it sound like the ownership is holding the team back which makes me feel very happy we have the owners that we do so that's all folks
