It was enough time, sadly. However, it's hard to stop on a dime or change direction when you're sprinting full speed to tackle someone. Had shades of Lockette to it though, I liked that

Yeah I totally missed it as well. On replay you can see him barely wave his hand. Shouldn't be able to do that

I mean, he also hit him before the ball got there so it doesn't matter. But yess fair catch was called. Blount is an idiot.

The league does have a legitimate problem, they need to clarify that the fair catch motion needs to be more deliberate
Otherwise, more players are going to get cracked
