this was his statement....

"I would NEVER knowingly take a substance to gain a competitive advantage in any way. I have never been concerned with the leagues performance enhancing or drug abuse policies because under no scenario would they ever apply to me, but I now know, that (drug-policy procedures) are clearly flawed, and I will do everything in my power to ensure they are corrected, so other individuals and teams aren’t negatively affected so rashly like this.”

i don't hear "I DID NOT TAKE THE SUBSTANCE" but i did hear procedures are flawed.

why gives?

I know you guys want to filter back all of the BS that opposing fans have said about the Seahawks in the last 2 years but I think it would be wise for us all to take the high road and not become the very persona we've been abused and ridiculed by.

I already hate the term "this was their Superbowl" as an explanation to lessen the blow of a loss since SFO fans shoved that term down our throats after 42-13.

Now this with Denver, I've seen a lot of Seahawks fans venting some serious pent up passive aggressive emotions towards the Broncos fan base. I mean I understand the reprisal for resolve. But we can be the better fanbase by not turning into the same senseless douchebags of hatred and detraction we've come to detest.

I hate to burst your bubble, but as a whole, we aren't any better or any worse than any other fan base.

I think that's his point, let's rise above other fan bases and take the high road.............especially seeing as we've had the most drug suspensions in the league over the past couple of years.

i think that the problem is that he creates a red herring.

yes, the rules may be flawed and yes, they may have issues with them.

but that said, when you accept your million dollar pay check that comes with a set of rules, rightly or wrongly, you cash the check, you play by the stupid rules.

sounds like sour grapes to get caught and blame the stupid rules you agreed to.

NO ONE FORCES ANY player to play by the NFL's stupid rules.

"I wouldn't have any idea where to get a Molly or what a Molly is," Welker said in an email to The Denver Post. "That's a joke. I don't do marijuana, I don't do drugs. I don't do any drugs."

The way he referred to molly as "a molly" or claims not to know what it is makes me think he is guilty. I love how people who get caught using drugs claim to have no idea what they are and use it in a sentence like Welker did. A molly.....haha

I think it's time for a little Jefferson Airplane. Wes must have ran into Alice.

Both situations would have been a helluva time to quit lying!

Maybe he's addicted to concussions and was looking an artificial way of feeling the same way.
