Week 1 in the nfl

Game 1 for this offense, which IS talented.

49ers did out-gut us today, this is a kick in the ass, and a benching or two, I can’t imagine answering to J Reed, Leo, Jones, they wanted this game bad. People are not going to have a fun meeting tomorrow.. then show us next week, better show up.

Talk to me in week four.

Hats off to the 9ers, I knew it would be close, we should have picked purdy four times, the picks we did make were harder than the ones we didn’t make, think about that for a second, our defense is going to be good.

If Kubiak is his fathers son he will get us running the damn ball successfully.

Charbs might be the guy.

Though I hated the roughing call on Leo it technically was to the head, which, fine, could have also not called it but it was early in the game so refs were establishing things.

We will be a completely different team when we play them again, as will they, we will be competitive, we have too much talent and mac doesn’t have patience for poor play.

It’s always emotional in the aftermath of a loss like today but I think I’m going with what Kyle Brandt said on GMFB this week…

WEEK 1 IN THE NFL LIES!!

Lots of football left to play

Unfortunately, we're still a good full tier and a half below the best teams.

I would put the Seahawks in low tier 2 of NFC teams. Packers, Bucs and Rams are also in tier 2. Vikings, Lions, Eagle,s and Commanders are tier 1 until proven otherwise.

So the Seahawks are not that far behind. However!

The problem is the Cardinals look better and the 49ers/Rams have re-tooled themselves despite having aging rosters. That is a problem moving forward. Also, the Cowboys under Dak are not going to be bottom cellar dwellers. And Chicago will look more competitive with their new offensive scheme. The NFC is getting tougher.

At least.

Based on what we saw today, I think we're more likely to have a top ten pick next April than we are to making the playoffs.

I knew the offense will take time. My problem with this game is the way the play calling just seemed to stall. And then when we changed things up we actually started moving the ball very easy. It seemed like Kubiak took to long to adjust. Also, i know I shouldn't be supprised about Riq, but man he sure did make 2 critical errors and the wrong time. Just like he did last year.

The Cardinals were a dropped pass in the end zone away from potentially losing to Spencer Rattler

They say week one is usually not as good as you think and it’s usually not as bad as you think. Lots of teams that have looked dominant in week one lay a big turd the rest of the way and vice versa.

I think the scheduling Gods blessed the Niners not only with a favorable opponent schedule, but a great draw to get the Seahawks week one.

We bookend our season with the Niners so hopefully we can use the last week of the season as a good barometer of our development. Hopefully the game means something to both teams.

Rattler wasn't perfect but he is going to improve too with more playing time. The NFC is going to be more competitive because Penix also looked competent against the Bucs. And Carolina is going to be tougher with actual talent on defense now.

The NFC is going to be very tighter than years past.
