Both released ILBs were NOT playing very well and neither seemed to fit this D well.

Perhaps this situation is regrettable but think on the team play so far up until Jones arrival and then ask yourself did you think the Hawks were getting good or even adequate play from these two experience ILBs? My answer is a responding NO!

I'm loving this type of decision making from the coaching staff & management, I hated how Pete would hold on to guys even though they weren't producing just because guys liked them in the locker room. Now all players are on notice either you produce or you're going to be walking out that door, and honestly we have gotten better at the position with the two moves Jones IV is a dawg and will lead this defense and Knight has big upside he just needs playing time. If coach Mac is true to his words "you have to earn it" that means he's fully confident in Knight coming in and playing well...

It's funny Sherm ripped this whole ordeal. Saying how dumb it was not to just keep BWags. I don't think he realizes that Washington's run defense is even worse than ours.

this tells me during the offseason the O line will get a major overhaul
