My friend has a source saying Petersen will take the job tomorrow morning. Not a bullsh*tter. I'll wait and see
I kinda hope you're right at this point. Since Mora is a no-go, I think I would rather have Petersen than Wilcox.

Peterson makes sense - known experienced coach, strong NW ties and existing recruiting connections. Allows the team to appear to actually improve with a more successful coach. If he was able to keep Wilcox and a few other assistant coaches, he may be able to do very well in his first season on the job. I think that the last time UW was looking for a coach, Peterson left his name on the table for a very long time before withdrawing. I do not like the fact that Nussmeier is plan B. I do think that Peterson will eventually withdraw his name, leaving us with a younger inexperienced assistant coach - offensive coordinator no less - from a highly successful college program. Sound familiar? Nussmeier just reeks of an older/worse version of Sark.

Chris Petersen, Doug Nussmeier apparent front-runners in UW’s coaching search
http://blogs.seattletimes.com/huskyfoot ... ng-search/

How badly written is that piece?

Starts three consecutive sentences with 'Nussmeier'.

God I hope UW doesn't hire him. I pray we get Chris Petersen from BSU. Also what's the odds of Justin Wilcox and Tosh Lupoi staying..?

According to some recruits, Lapoi's been telling them he's staying.

Who knows though

If Petersen were to leave and team up with Wilcox again, I think that would be great. The BSU fan in me doesn't want him to go, but I also would like to see what he could do in a power conference. He has an amazing track record of developing players from unknowns into NFL caliber talents. If you've ever read into his recruiting goals, it's very similar to PC/JS. Look for guys who others are passing over because they are too short or too small, etc. and let them take the chip on their shoulder and beat people over the head with it.

Doesn't look like Chris Petersen is coming here

Bozeman High defensive end Will Dissly has committed to joining the Boise State football team.

Dissly says he informed Boise State coach Chris Petersen of his decision on Sunday. He can sign his letter of intent on Feb. 6.

Dissly was the Class AA co-defensive MVP as a junior and senior. This year, he had 57 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss. 9.5 sacks, four pass breakups, two fumbles forced, two fumbles recovered and two touchdowns. He also played tight end where he caught 55 passes for 917 yards and 11 touchdowns as Bozeman went unbeaten in winning the Class AA state title.

Dissly tells the Idaho Press Tribune says he was assured during the recruiting process that Petersen wasn't leaving Boise State.

Been hearing the name Bo Pelini.

That would be the worst move ever. He is an in game idiot, and off the field, a disaster.

I want that to happen sooooo bad.

You're a Ducks fan, I take it.

Correct. I hate Bo Pelini with great passion because of his reputation, so it'd be great joy to watch him Harbaugh it up on the UW sideline.

Been told a pretty prominent coll fb coach WILL accept UW job---if offered.

Petersen? or someone else?

Gotta be.

He, Petrino and Mora Jr. are the only "prominent" names being tossed in the air.

Mora Jr. has already been ruled out. That leaves Petrino and Petersen.

Pinkel isn't interested.

Nussmeier isn't "prominent" to anyone outside the state of Alabama or Washington.

Gotta be either Petersen or Petrino.

My gut says its Petersen.

This may be the job no one wants and we settle. I don't see Peterson. I haven't heard Petrino from amy source. Nussmeir has no experience. Did we think he was that great to begin with?

Also Lapoi amd Wilcox are in limbo until buyouts are worked out.
