Color blindness is getting to be more and more the norm. It's such a great thing!

Yes that's really great. Sadly it seems there are a few posters out there in all fans sites that haven't learned that.

:les:
I absolutely agree. Race shouldn't even come into play in a conversation at all.

Interesting that the Sports Illustrated Superbowl edition makes the same point made by 45Hawker on p. 1.

A bit off-topic:

I'm a little surprised that the story of Wilson being the first african-american QB since Doug Williams to win a SB isn't being highlighted more. I didn't even think of it myself until I saw a blurb about it a few days ago. I guess it's actually a victory for progress that not many noticed it.

T-jack got snaps as well. The 2nd and 3rd black qb on the winning team to throw a pass during the game, during black history month, you'd think it would've at least been MENTIONED, but I haven't heard it once.

EDIT: Though I guess if that was the criteria randel el would count as one too.

Now 4 classless African Americans are talking about it on NFL Network.

You guys are probably correct. I'm trying to hard to not let it get out of hand here. If its regular discussion about black athletics it has to be accepted.

I am to the point in my life where I'm tired of putting things/people in boxes. I think of them as athletics not various races. Its funny in our world where its considered bad taste for white people to talk of black athletics but ok the other way.

Are we really gaining? Guess that's a script for the pwr forums.

anyway sorry for being a hardass here.

I understand where you are coming from. In an ideal world, it would never be talked about. But I don't think there was anything unhealthy about any of the comments. My comment was just a joke about how I don't think much of T-Jack as a QB. I just want to make another comment and then I'm done. You say you're tired of putting people in boxes, but then you make this comment:

"Its funny in our world where its considered bad taste for white people to talk of black athletics but ok the other way."

How do you know everyone commenting is white? Isn't that putting people in boxes?

I actually count it as a really good thing that we didn't hear anything about it hopefully Michael Sam does well and whenever a 2nd person comes into the league as an open homosexual we don't hear anything about it once the barrier is broken and we stop hearing about it its a good thing.

Oh I wasn't complaining if I came off that way, was just surprised it's hardly been mentioned is all.
