His back was code for his ego
Or it’s code for his back. And ego? He is by far the best player in that team, and he was making nothing compared to the garbage Qb they have.

Just checked the Packers message board and most as expected are pumped for the deal but a few without the rose colored glasses on are really concerned about paying him $47 million per year. I would too especially if there’s a back issue.

Great talent but would the Seahawks have really loved this deal? What's comparable? Byron Murphy, another player and 2 1sts. And you have to pay $47 million/year to Parsons?

Honestly, I'd pass.

Agree 100% - would have been a hard pass for me if I'm the Hawks.

But now we can watch Jerry squander those pics next year. Jerry is so very desperate to re-create the Herschel walker trade and create a new dynasty without Jimmy Johnson doing the drafting.

I really don't think this is going to go well for Jerry.

And, those are very likely both late 1st round picks. Good get for GB. Lame that they traded him there though.
I'm just glad the Hawks didn't do this. No thanks. Hell of a player, but a bad back? And that guarantee? Nope

And a tip of the cap to him and his agent getting that $. I will never fault a player for getting that bag. You're worth what someone pays you, he got his.

If I'm JS I'm mot signing Walker at 4yrs/188M. This seemed to be one of the most requested proposals I've seen, so Parsons/Walker must be on the same level contract wise.

He's not going to the seahawks so he'll probably produce at that number, Packers fans will rejoice because it was worth it, and GB will go on to the playoffs.

He's getting $67 million this season as a bonus I guess plus
5th year option money?
The 4 years are after the option year right?

This is always what I thought it would have to be at minimum, two first round picks and more plus a record setting contract at the time of the trade for Parsons. Anybody who thought less than this was just wishful thinking.

Great do for the Packers who are now bona fide SB contenders. Big deal, two probable very late first round picks and a decent lineman for arguably the top defensive player in the league and probable first ballot HOFer if he remains healthy who's just entering his prime.

If it means competing for SB's and possibly winning in the now and future years, is that not a trade/contract that works out? I don't know.
