This fascinates me. Every single egg in one basket. Not a proven QB on the team. Howell may have some upside.

My Viking fan buddy is less than hopeful - but then all Vike fans are broken and have been forced to accept that misery is their fate.
I keep forgetting Howell is there. IMO the limited snaps Sam had here were much worse than Darnolds bad games. Howell played the hawks tough while with Washington but I don't think he'd of beat last year's defense let alone the improved defense I expect MM to put out this year

I agree. I wouldn't be surprised at all with a win but Im a homer and I see a potential win in every game. They had a better season than us last year but now we have their QB. How much will their familiarity with Darnolds strengths and weaknesses benefit their game plan? Will the emotion of a "revenge game" help or hinder Darnold?
I think that while familiarity with Darnold (especially with Brian Flores defense going after him) could benefit them, the same can be said about Darnold having worked against that same Flores D during Training Camp and practices all season long.

I don't think anything the Vikings do defensively will catch Sam off-guard here.

Had to update my prediction, I now believe Seattle will sweep SF this season. I still have them going 12-5 though, I changed Houston to a loss.

I'm feeling anywhere between 11-6 and 13-4. Anything less will be a disappointment to me.

11-6

Even though I still think 10-7 :ROFLMAO:
I look forward to re-doing this later before the season. Still a lot to be determined.

We ain't resting vets for the playoffs, we are winning the last game of the season.

12-5

I'm sticking with 8-9 now. The defense will be great. Our schedule is filled with weak teams. We improved the offence's coaching and Zabel has to be an update over Tomlinson. Horton looks awesome and JSN is going to be a stud.

But Darnold and Kupp are no replacement for Geno and DK. There is only so much the new coaching staff and scheme can do to improve in IOL with Zabel, Bradford and Sundell. We'll be lucky if our OL ranking improves to 22nd or higher. Darnold will be under pressure most games.

Plus Kubiak's scheme is not new (many teams run versions of it) and a lot of defenses have it figured.

I think our defense will keep most game close but our offense will struggle to score. Wouldn't be surprised that we lose more games we should have won than win games we should have lost.

I just can't commit myself to individual wins/losses. I always think we'll win.

I made this prediction before training camp even began. I'm more optimistic for the offense now. I would predict 11 wins now.
Well when we both saw the OTAs, I kind of understand why 10 wins was viewed as the ceiling. lol

This one is aging more poorly by the second.

I have the same thing except I have us sweeping the Cards to go 13-4.

And I will be pissed alongside you after that Indianapolis loss. A truly "slip on a banana peel" moment of the season.
And I was close.

But damn...that Indy game almost DID end up a "slip on a banana peel" moment. Yikes.
