And the Beat goes on - This chick was fired for basically calling Diana out for being a whore for info.

That is utter BS by USA Today. That girl went off about Russini's actions reflecting negatively on other women "Who do things the right way" in this profession. Women reporting in sports, especially in the NFL have not had it easy, so they've had to avoid any appearance of impropriety behavior for many years, and now Russini throws it all in doubt with her actions.

Never read USA Today, and now after this knee jerk reaction, I never will.

Crissy Froyd:

"I'm sure you were told to submit this or that you'd get fired instead," Froyd wrote in response to Russini's circulation of her resignation letter. "Don't let the door hit you on the way out. We know who you really are and what you've been up to for years. It does so much detriment to women in sports who have done things the right way."

USA Today, the Chicken Shit Little of sports reporting.

I don't agree. Because her articles appear in USA Today, readers will automatically associate her with that publication, and as such, USA Today has a right to establish their own standards regarding the opinions expressed in their name even when it is done outside their own platform. She should have cleared her post with her superiors before firing it off.

It's no different than a company firing its president because he/she made a controversial statement about homosexuality that they don't want to be associated with.

Having said that, I agree completely with what Crissy Floyd had to say in her post.

What Crissy Froyd said that was wrong is what @ivotuk highlighted in bold: We know who you really are and what you've been up to for years. It was a cheap shot, a very personal and insulting statement made in public that in another setting, would be fighting words. It was not the product of a sports journalist who was hired to report on athletes and their activities in an ethical and professional manner.

Back in the days when they used to have an editorial corner on the local news station, there would be a disclaimer read: "The following is soley the opinion of the author and not necessarily that of Brand X." Had Floyd included something like that in her post that indicated that she was expressing her own personal opinion and was not speaking for USA Today, she might have gotten away with it.

Ironically, Froyd violated the same code of conduct that Russini was guilty of violating in her relationship with Vrabel.

Not much Kraft can do with Vrabel when Kraft himself is a scumbag. Russini will pop on a podcast somewhere down the road when people forget.

Yeah, it's one of those "the pot calling the kettle black" propositions. It's a similar to the dilemma that will face Vrabel when he goes to counsel players on their compliance with the league's personal conduct policy. It undermines his credibility.

As far as Russini's career is concerned, I don't think most people follow individual reporters as much as they do a company like The Athletic or ESPN. And, of course, as a woman who never played the game, never appeared in the broadcast booth, or never hosted a sports talk show, she doesn't have name recognition to rely on.

Obviously I don't know any more than anyone else, but this could end up costing Vrabel a lot in a divorce. That could be why he's being silent: trying to save a marriage or trying to minimize "pain and suffering" of spouse that will be looking for her pound of flesh as she exits the marriage. May take years to play out and be a distraction the entire time.

AFC is wide open in '26.
Both are idiots.

Wow! It looks like Vrabel and Dirty Dianna Russini have been at this for quite a while. She's done as a sports journalist. They are both slimy AF.

Thx, forgot to post the link. I guess right after that, she reported that the Titans were going after Tannehill and not Tom Brady. Coincidence? I doubt it.

Wow is what I say. And you're right, if Russini's career wasn't toast before this, it almost certainly is now. No one is going to hire that slut.
