Brings back memories of when I was thinking of getting into remote controlled helicopters I thought it would be a good idea to buy a flight simulator kit that I could plug a 7 channel transmitter to my laptop and learn on that instead of investing hundreds of dollars and crashing. I spent 60 hours on the simulator barely getting off the ground. I later gave up on that hobby and stayed with RC cars. Figured I saved myself $thousands

Have a friend who thought he could get better at golf.. first time back on the tee.. whiffed 9 straight times off the tee box.
Golf is such a different thing. You can absolutely train hand eye coordination with games/vr etc. But training swinging a golf club that way ... nope

This will likely end with more of a whimper than a bang. I haven't seen the training resources being sold but....

If there is ANY movement simulated on these things?

Then they better have pallets of Ginger candy at the ready for the people that need it.

There's a reason VR didn't take off. AR works better, at least at not making you feel like you will lose your lunch. I spent over 5 years in VR. We constantly supplied our devs with ginger treats to keep them from turning green.

Maybe they fixed the problem VR had for years, but I doubt it

This is a crazy take considering Jayden Daniels success with it last year.

I hope there is nice balance where our future mvp isnt brow beat to death bye the media over his progress. Jalen seems to be handling it well so far. Mac was saying he saw the potential for vr at other positions as well.

Even last year before I knew he was using VR, what struck me about Jayden Daniels was that he consistently knew where to go with the ball (plus, making plays with his legs) vs. making spectacular throws. He obviously had a tremendous rookie season but, big picture, his passing stats were only 3568 yds/25 TDs. He only threw 9 INTs, which speaks to the good decision making. The game had already slowed down for him, and it's pretty clear that his VR training contributed to that. It's fantastic news that Milroe is following suit.

I think it's a tremendous idea actually. Any kind of simulator to help hone your skills is a good thing. I learned to fly in the simulator, both the real thing and R/C. I could see many benefits to VR in the NFL.

I can see how VR would make sense specifically for QBs. When you're on the field looking over an offensive line, it looks a lot different than watching the all 22 film. VR would be good for training your eyes and brain to recognize looks that the defense is giving you. Especially if you're watching plays that you've already seen on the All 22. It's essentially giving your brain reps that you would normally only get in a game. Sounds like a great idea to me.

If VR can aid a QB in transitioning from college to the pros, and lessen the chance of them getting the "bust" label, then by all means, teams should embrace it.
