While I know nothing about him Eman doesn't look like a rookie , he doesn't look like he is waiting for his brain to catch up , he just attacks his assignment and I can only imagine he's going to get better , quicker and more effective

Sorry not defensive, just read your comment the wrong way. It's always hard to understand tone in writing, as I am sure you understand.

As far as these awards go, they are all just popularity contests. Generally the bigger fan bases/more prominent players win. I always want my Hawks to win them, and think they are usually the most deserving when nominated, but that's the rub: that's exactly how every other fan base feels.

I think Emmanwori's unique stat line should have made more waves, but honestly I don't even think he was the best defensive player for the Hawks that week let alone the league.
