I remember when this trend of reaction videos kind of kicked off when the Saints won their Super Bowl a few years back. I remember watching those fans, and all their honest joy erupting after finally, FINALLY breaking through after so, so SO many years of frustration and pain. And I remember thinking that the NFL robbed me of that feeling with XL and that they sold my 30 years of loyalty down the river for the price of a few Terrible Towels. I thought maybe the betrayal of XL would warp me so that I'd never be able to fully enjoy that first championship because I'd had one stolen so transparently.
Watching that vid made me feel like I might have been wrong.
