…and I’ve been watching the NFL network all day. Your comment of not one talking head has said Darnold is better is because they all agree they got a similar player that’s 7 years younger, signed for 10 mil less per year, and has previously worked with our new OC. The only one arguing about who’s better is you…who cares???

So, JS has blown up the Offense. How’s everyone feeling about this?

Personally, I’m struggling to see any light at the end of the tunnel.

Good thing the Defense might still be good.

Dude! It's been a minute!

Good to see you again.

Meh, I think it will be okay in the end. Change is always scary but we know we are looking to become a more physical, running offense and DK didn't like that nor fit that mold. Tyler was a cap casualty due to age and Geno? He was never going to be our long term answer. Sam may or may not be a stop gap until we draft our franchise QB but we could do a lot worse.

We may not have the most dynamic offense but with our D trending towards Top 5, we should still be fun to watch and likely a playoff contender.

Brock was actually on KJR earlier today giving all of the reasons why Darnold was better than Geno, especially in Kubiak's offense. He did have the caveat that it was based on just the 2024 season though.
Yeah this idea that everyone thinks Geno is way better than Darnold isn’t true. I’ve heard multiple talking heads and ex players say the opposite actually

Weird, we must have been listening to two different shows this morning because both he and saulk said he is not an upgrade, and will struggle if not given more protection than Geno had. 🤔
My bad, it was actually Hugh Millen who went into a deep dive, not Brock. I did just see a little video from Brock saying it was a good move as well though.

Not sure I'm keen on this move, that's a lot of money for potentially a one hit wonder...i hope it works out

Lol Ok bud. Not one expert agrees with you, not one. Not Brock or saulk, not bump, not sherm, not the talking heads on nfl network. Not one ex player has came out and said Darnold is the better QB, quite the opposite actually. If you want to sit here and think Darnold is the better QB, go for it, but you'd be in a very small group that does. We went out and got the best available replacement for Geno, and that's it.
Does Cowherd count as 1? He's the only one I've heard comment and he said Darnold is an upgrade. So, in my personal experience, 100% of commentators say it's an upgrade.

I’m still here, just not as often, sometimes just lurking. I live in California now, so it’s harder to stay on top of everything living in enemy territory.

As for the team, I’m feeling better today, now that we know there is a t least a decent QB at the helm, except that JS still refuses to spend money on a top flight Interior OL.
