Barring a miracle, I would say that you guys have the division pretty much on lock now, or it is at least yours to lose now.

Too bad this season our rivalry won't be what it was advertised now as it will be tough to compete without our #1 wideout, was really looking forward to seeing what our teams looked like against each other in week 2 at full strength.

I know the games have yet to be played, but without one of our key playmakers in a division that has become the toughest in the league, I can't honestly expect to find the Niners on top come December.

So let me be the first to say congrats. You guys better represent the NFCW right come January...and February! ;)

Better luck next year bruh.

So, who are they plugging into Crabs spot?

Kyle Williams and Mario Manningham both ended seasons with injuries (and word is that Manningham looks to start the season on the PUP). My guess is either Jenkins or Patton, or as I've read a few Niner fans have suggested, Ricardo Lockette ( ).

SF will be hurting unless Patton or Jenkins steps up. Simply spreading the ball around more or expecting VD to pick up the slack won't cut it, imo.

I remember all the whiner fans betting on Percy getting injured since he is injury prone and all.

Somewhat amusingly, this may help Kaepernick's development in a way.

This actually has some credence. It will force Kaep to look to other options. It's been well stated here, but Kaep did seem to lock onto Crabs and Delani Walker. So with both guys not here (at least for the majority of the season), Kaep will have to look to 2nd / 3rd / check down options more often.

Still, this injury hurts. Crabs was averaging about 100yds/game when the Alex-to-Kaep switch happened.

If Boldin can match his production at BAL, he'll get about 880 yds and 5 TDs. There's still a significant amount of production that is missing. Guys like Vance McDonald, AJ Jenkins, Quinton Patton, Mario Manningham (when healthy), Kyle Williams, and potentially Ricardo Lockette will have to pick up the slack.

Also, look for more RB screens with LMJ and Hunter.

But, this injury definitely eliminates any advantage the Niners had in the division and very well may have been surpassed. Only time will tell.

Man that sucks.. i wanted them at full strength with no excuses for either side... If he can't go for our first game, that's going to hurt them big time> he couldn't do anything against sherman, how is Jenkins or Lockette going to fair? enquiring minds will soon find out.

Kaepernick threw 9 touchdowns last year. 8 were to Crabs.

Season:
10 TDs (5 Crabtree, 1 Davis, 2 Walker, 1 Gore, 1 Moss)
5 rushing TDs

Post-season:
4 TDs (3 Crabtree, 1 Davis)
3 rushing TDs

Teach me to just repeat shit I read.

Still, looks pretty bad for Kaep.

Man I'm glad your not on our coaching staff, while this is a huge blow you have to expect injuries to occur and you have to come together as a team to overcome them, I think this team is capable of doing that, this definitely does help Seattle's cause though. :(

:2: Lifetime seahawks fan, long time viewer, first time poster!

Anyways hate to hear about this! I really wanted both teams to be at full strength when we played each other as the last thing the whiners need is a excuse to whine but such is life.
On the bright side though this injury gives the seahawks a big advantage in the division!! :thirishdrinkers:

If it helps you any, obviously you know we lost Irvin due to his PED crap for the first four games, but also our one and only proven pass rusher, Chris Clemons, is likely to start the season on PUP; and will be 32 for most of this season and may never be the same after blowing out his knee on CrapEx Field in D.C.

Let's see what kind of damage Kap can do to us and then we'll see. I'm not notching NFC West champs just yet. We still have to plan for his scrambling ability, and to lose focus on his arm would be a mistake. Just my 2 cents.

Honestly nothing barring Percy Harvin getting in a fist fight with Pete Carrol over a dispute about playing time could help soften this blow LOL. Just gotta hope for the best.

Wouldn't you be pissed if you were an elite receiver stuck with a crap QB? Just sayin'. :) I bet there will be no issues like that with Harvin now that he's with us.

An a Niner fan...I'd love to put on a brave face....but this one hurts in a big way.
As the 'Hawk fans love to say, *next man up.*

This injury happened in the offseason, so there is plenty of time for them to figure out how to deal with their number 1 WR going down.
