Some of these posts are unreal. Russell has 31 Touchdown passes. 66% completion rate with who as a Wide Receiver? Doug Baldwin occasionally, and Tyler Lockett.

They're almost guaranteed to make the playoffs after dumping a good portion of their roster and coaching staff, when everyone else expected them to be 4-12.

For the year, the Seahawks have 4898 yards from scrimmage, their opponents? 5036. After 14 games that's a difference of 138 yards, most of which have come in garbage time.

Seattle has 44 touchdowns, their opponents? 34

Seattle has a +12 turnover ratio. One of the most important stats in the game.

Seattle has run 876 running and passing plays for an average of 5.6 yards per play.

Ultra conservative? I think not.

Patriots, who play in the AFC Least, have run 936 plays for an average of 5.9 yards per play. They must be conservative too.

AMEN.

"Ultra Conservative" -puleeeaze.

Schotty has greatly helped to transform this team and made a good QB even better.

He’s done things pretty well, so far. There has been significant improvement, overall.

3rd downs need work. Russell Wilson has done a great job completing difficult passes. Intermediate passing game should get stronger.

Ultra conservative isn't the right word. I like the mindset that Schottenheimer has with the running game, especially when it has been as potent as it has been this season. The way our running game is structured is actually very creative. Some of the ways we've been using our lineman is absolutely glorious, and I'm not just talking about Fant either. We've been doing some cool things with play direction in this sense.

Unfortunately our biggest fault is the passing game, this is the big problem, and it is not Russ. The play designs in the passing game are the problem. Very bear bones, a lot of concepts aren't used here. It looks like something from the techmo bowl game. Sometimes we stick to the run to a fault, even when it isn't working as well. Would love to see a running offense that was structured like Holmgrens 2005 offense was in the passing game. Russ would be very good in that type of offense.

Overall Schottenheimer is better than Bevell. He seems to know how to utilize his players better, mostly in the running game. Schottenheimer is also very good at working with Quarterbacks. I've seen a lot of improvement in Russell Wilson's pocket presence. His movement is getting a lot less hectic and more deliberate in the pocket. He is stepping up more, and looks less like a chicken with his head cut off. His internal clock is also getting better. I've seen him bail much earlier than in years past on plays. The pass blocking is better, yes, but some of that is Wilson's pocket manipulation being markedly better. That is all on Schottenheimer.

I still think Schottenheimer is a mediocre OC. He has a hard time shifting gears, and he seems to be too committed to his original game plan. Situational play calls aren't that great and the passing game structure is non-existent. I think our passing game would really benefit from a good TE, specifically under Schotty.

I think what gets lost in the post game autopsy after a bad loss is the fact that Pete's offensive philosophy, while allowing bad teams to stay close for parts of games or entire games like yesterday, is the fact that we win way more of those games than we lose and it's that philosophy that allows us stay in contact with high powered teams like the Rams that have more talent of the O side of the ball.

It frustrates the hell out of me in the moment sometimes, but I much prefer this style to loading up on offense and going with a budget defense. Those types of teams need a lot to go right for the entire year and playoffs to make a run. I much prefer knowing going into just about every game that we'll have a chance to in if we make the couple plays when the time calls for it. It can be tough on the blood pressure in games against "lesser" teams. I hate that term in the NFL by the way. Rarely are there lesser teams. The Browns for a while, but for the most part 30-31 of the 32 teams can beat you if you don't bring it.

Agree. Intermediate passing remains a weakness for us.

In the later part of the game, back to back runs to start drives. Look, I love that we are a running team, but mix it up a little.
