I'm very impressed with his receiving skills as well as return skills. Is he potentially our eventual true "#1 receiver"? No disrespect intended to ADB.
He's elite but he isn't a number one level receiver in the NFL. I'm hoping Graham will be okay because I see the Seahawks doing what the Patriots do, have a TE that runs the seems pulling coverage with a couple great route runners and one guy that actually runs deep routes. That would be perfect for Wilson and his playground style much like Rothliesburger.

What makes you say that? Its only his rookie year. The talent is definitely there. Antonio Brown has shown size at wide receiver is overrated for a #1. Reliable hands, speed, and great route running is a much more reliable. Lockett is a clone of AB. At the very least we have poor mans AB.
It's hard for me to completely buy in even though I know he is special. And I'd love to be wrong because a poor man's Antonio Brown is beyond good enough for me and the Seahawks methinks.

It's like Richardson and Rawls. One already proved he can deliver at the highest level but can't get healthy. The other is doing ridiculous stuff but possibly replacing the heart and soul of our team. The guy that made us relevant again. I'm waiting for that "prove it" moment.

Luckily for me it seems the actual center of this team (Wilson) already has.

I never understand why people are so obsessed with the rather ephemeral concept of a #1 WR. Doesn't make any sense to me. We do fine with our crew of role players with talent. Even without Graham, we still have 3-4 guys that have to be respected. I'd rather spread the field with the guys we have than waste too many resources on one guy that can be taken away with a good scheme.

I'm for the team, not fantasy football stars.

Lockett has officially surpassed Kearse on the WR depth chart and is our clear #2.
I loved on the postgame show where either Bennett or Thomas said Kearse had a great game. He had one pass thrown to him and completely blew it. I love what Kearse has done in the past but outside of last weekend he is almost non existant in the offense.

But number one is so subjective. I watched him at Kansas State and he is ELITE. But not in the classic AJ Green or Dez Bryant metric.
I agree! Lockett has caught on to the game quickly but very few small guys are actually #1's. I would not consider Desean Jackson a #1 but he is very good. I thought Lockett would be good but he has exceeded my expectations.

Put the Fantasy stats away, Kearse had a drop but we ask our receivers to do more then that, if he was suppose to draw coverage for other routes he did his job, he was blocking on running plays and down field for our other receivers, he did his job. I hate that people think that if a player does'nt have touchdowns or tackles or a 100 yds of something or a 300 yd game passing they suck balls, just shows how much they really need to learn about the game.

It just occured to me while watching this game that Lockett is our replacement for Golden Tate.

If we can ever get Richardson healthy, we'll have his speed, plus Baldwin's route-running, Lockett's versatility, and Graham's playmaking ability next season.

Thought about this in preseason/ 1

I think he is more like what we thought Percy Harvin would be.

More like an upgrade. He is more consistent in his rookie season than Tate ever was with us. Comparing their rookie seasons would be an absolute laugher.

He caught seven passes for seventy four yards in yesterday's matchup.

You are both warped, just a bit.

But Lockett is sure fun to watch get a couple steps on defenders. His speed has been a great asset to the team this year.

Golden was sort of a poor man's Percy who became expendable when we got the real thing. Of course it went south and turned into a huge mistake. The point is I think this is one of the molds they look for, Tough to bring down, run after the catch guy who can do returns.
