Our Seahawks just held Jefferson to 4 yards on 2 catches.

If you predicted that I’ll su$k your …..


Just kidding, but “come on man”, that’s pretty cool defensively speaking.

Jefferson had an undrafted rookie QB in his first start today throwing him the ball.. I'm just saying ... I'm not going to overrate, or underrate anything from this game, all I know is our defense did it's job today...

We played a team playing a rookie QB in his first start while having half its OLINE injured. Our defense SHOULD have been dominant.

My concern is not we had any risk of losing this game. My concern was that as bad as their QB was (126yds), our QB was almost as bad (128 yds) without the picks (and you could argue we had 1-2 throws that could have been picks, and he had a fumble).

I am trying to accept that Darnold is our Trent Dilfer, but Trent never put the ball in harm's way like Darnold does. And Trent never seemed to wet himself like Darnold seems to. What we saw today was a QB that looked for all the world like he was wetting himself half the game.

Frankly, Darnold is better than this. We need him to shake this off. He is peeing himself every time he drops back to pass. We needed Darnold to break his anxiety. He can overcome it. But right now his OC is almost as scared of Darnold as Darnold is.

The luxury of literally winning the game despite our offense - won't continue all year.

Still the defense was stellar this game. You are correct.

JJ is without a doubt their best weapon on offense.

If you repeatedly put the ball in the defender's hands...and he drops it, that is a warning. You got away with one.
But good teams will catch those, often at the worst times. WHICH LITERALLY HAPPENED IN THE RAMS GAME....REPEATEDLY.

So no. Darnold cannot be our Trent Dilfer (the bus driver QB you alluded to). He puts the ball in harm's way too much for that. We have to find a way to throw it long and limit the poor decisions Darnold makes under pressure. Darnold is not a 'game manager' type.

Frankly, while Darnold is not as good as he was earlier in this year...he isn't as bad as he has been lately either. We needed this to be a 'get right game' for Darnold. But instead our gameplan seemed to win by limiting Darnold. Would have been better to let Darnold make some mistakes, shake his funk, and let the Defense cover for his mistake.

We won. But we likely would have won either way. The problem is, we haven't fixed the issue with Darnold - and against better opponents it won't go this way (again, watch the Rams game)

His struggle was.. that Bradford needs to be benched and is terrible... Our TE seems to suck in Pass protection or dont understand the concepts... and Kubiak has to wait till locker room time to adjust the play calling to counter the pass rush.

I was fine with how he did, with how little time he had and how bad our blocking was today in pass protection

As per usual, right guard Anthony Bradford was the worst offender, but nobody really covered themselves in glory blocking against Brian Flores' blitzes. Can't agree with this enough. Sam should not be expected to play like a Josh Allen or Joe Burrow. He needs to just move the ball like an average QB taking advantage of our explosive playmakers and play the field position game for the defense. The offense just needs to play for this defense because they are that good. Other than the Rams game, he's played much better than I expected.

LOL I did watch the Rams game yesterday, and I saw a crazy good Matt Stafford get Pass-Happy and throw his first TWO PICKS of the season and lose the game because of it.
