Tush Push: our new short-yardage norm?

Other teams have tried the “tush push” but haven’t been as successful as the Eagles the play is dependent on the OL getting lower than the opposing DL especially the IOL. If you get lower than your opponent they are going back

Here's a dumb question. Why can't they give the ball to a 300 lb lineman for those 1 yd plays? Wouldn't a guy like that get more push than a 200 lb rb?

It’s been done, but for the most part the big guy is too slow to the hole and bodies pile up.
