Holding out a sliver of hope for Trey Hendrickson trade, he’s actually very unhappy with the cincy front office, give him 20 mil this year to go along with his 16 guaranteed from cincy, and 31 per year for 3 more years for a 4 year $115 million total contract with the ability to cut in year 4, have him for championship run, and packers don’t get him. Would make this a potentially historic offseason by JS.

It may be a very minor point but Hendrickson's contract for this year has $0 guaranteed. He's due to make $16M.

Seems like a trade is unavoidable at this point but Cincy is very likely asking for the moon in compensation... like a 1st plus 4th or thereabouts... while the rest of the league is likely thinking that a 2nd rounder would be a fair price to pay for a 31-y/o DE on the last year of his contract. He's been highly productive... that much can't be argued but father time is looming in the background... ready to stake his unavoidable claim.

It's the kind of trade that Pete would likely have made but my gut tells me John will not... especially at what Cincy may be asking in return.

The above is pure speculation and if challenged, I may defend it... or I may not. LOL

Dan Viens had a YouTube earlier in the week he had a guest that is a sports writer that covers the Bengals and when Dan asked him if a trade would be possible he said he highly doubts it to the point he would be shocked if the Bengals traded him to anyone. Seems to me the Bengals are very petty and would rather have the Hendricks retire before trading him a la the Lions / Barry Sanders situation

If I was to guess is he returns to the Bengals with his tail between his legs plays the final year on the contract and become a free agent in 2026. Hendricks signed a bad contract after having a decent year than exploded. Hendricks is a good player but not elite

He’s a dog. Cincy owners are notorious for being cheapskates.

Nonetheless, I see them re-signing him.

If they can't get Trey Hendrickson, they could always fall back on Lance Hendrickson. Sure, he's a little older, but he's not currently signed to any team, and he's also worked with The Boz!

Not elite?? Why do you say that? The last two years his numbers were insane and the 3 years before that are nothing to sneeze at either.
