Trade one of the RBs?

With A Brown breaking his leg again, do you think the front office would consider trading Turbin to the Gmen if they could get a good offer? Seems like it would be worth exploring. They have nothing behind Wilson.

No reason for that. Having 3 good RB's is a very good thing. We need 2 at all times, and this protects us from injury.

What would they give, a 4th? Turbin is a good player and a contributor, which is more than I can say about a lot of players Seattle has drafted in the 4th.

I think they'll just ride Wilson until Brown comes back. He should only be out a month and half or so. No reason to panic unless Wilson goes down too.

Leon Washington just got cut by NE.. maybe he comes back.. 3M was his salary before.. definitely could come back for Vet minimum

How? We don't have room for a kick return specialist.

I don't see a trade possibility.

Seattle has 5 good running backs under contract for this year plus two more.

Most of them can line up at multiple positions in support of where this offense is going with its style.

Most of them stand out for their special teams value in addition to their value in the offense.

There is also the "what goes around comes around" angle. I'm ready for the return of a modern full house backfield.

I think the reason they kept these 5 backs will become more clear as the season unfolds.

Turbin is still a low cost back. Those you don't trade. If the backs develop a lynch trade next year I could see happening. Age 28 seems to be the magic number for backs to slow down.

The Giants have been pulling RBs out of no where for years, they have no reason to trade for anybody when they can sign somebody off some teams practice squad and turn him into a 1000 yard rusher

I don't think they trade Lynch he's young enough and its not like he's been run into the ground like michael turner he was'nt the man in buffalo so he did'nt see that much action and he's been the feature back here for just a few yrs. i think with the way they drafted they are going to limit Lynch's workload this year to keep him fresh so i think he should be in the long term plans (3-4yrs).

Let's see.....why don't we trade away one of our strengths to help another team get over its difficulty?

Don't think so.

I would rather have Washington than Coleman, cost depending. Then we don't have to run Tate or Thurmond out there to possibly get injured on KOs.

I know that this contradicts my opinion about running Harvin out there for KRs, but for 67M for a WR in a run-heavy offense, he needs to touch the ball as much as possible specifically.

They could pick up Jewel Hampton off the 49ers PS and call it a day.

Yeah. I'm sure you guys' practice squad RB is the answer to all the Giants' problems. GTFOH.

Very few exceptions. 5 years for a full time back is pushing it hard.

Turbin, for whatever reason, don't get much love in this forum. The guy came in last year and had to run behind a legend. I felt he did run tentatively at times, but I put some of that on Pete and his turn-over phobia. Tough spot for a young 4th rnder, but when the dust cleared, he had a pretty damn good year. If Jerry Reece wants Turbo, he can give us a 3rd (that we can parlay into ASJ). No less.

The thing is the Giants have an excess of good to very good DL men and heard they need to make some moves. THough, that was before the cut.
