"Who doesn't" is not a response to the fact that Sam Darnold struggles under pressure.

If that's seriously all people have, they've got nothing.

Darnold can make some big-boy, sit-up-and-gape throws. But he did that with a superior OC, run game, and receiver stable. For the Seahawks, I see him as a lateral move, albeit a necessary one given that Geno wanted to get paid like a guy seven years younger. But something special? I'm doubtful.

I think Michael Irvin would disagree that it's a lateral move.

Michael Irvin doesn’t just throw out takes—he calls his shots. And this time, he’s got a message for the entire NFL: the Cooper KuppSam Darnold duo in Seattle is about to give defenses nightmares.

Of course he's forgetting about JSN but that's okay 'cause he'll ball out, too.

Sam is a good QB that will go out there and do his job (Playing Point-Guard).

That's all that Seattle wants from him.

Sam Darnold, the most rejected QB in the league. Over his career, he was rejected by McVay, Shanahan, and Kevin O'Connell. After a breakout season with the Vikings, no team wants him, so we get to lowball poor Darnold.

Experts on .NET, let's but a bottle of 1 litre JW Red Label for our director of pro personnel Willie Schneider, for identifying Darnold as our QBOTF, and John Schneider for signing him to a favorable contract.

Come to think of it, I am upgrading the bottle to Black Label for such a marvelous achievement.

Darnold never played for McVay.

Superior run game? Uhm..no, not even close.

19th in rushing yards per game and 20th in YPC.

And also this:

" Minnesota Vikings' running backs have the highest rate in the league (72.2%) for being hit at the line of scrimmage on runs inside the opponent's 10-yard line. "

What is the response then?

Probably "Hurr hurr....Darnold sux...he sees ghosts...." according to him.

He's made up his mind even before Sam takes a single snap for the Hawks.

Hell...even if Sam plays well for us, he'll just find a way to credit the Defense and the Wide Receivers and downplay anything Darnold does.

Same old sh*t, same type of fan, different team. 🥱

So for you instead of which Sam it is Sam which?

Darnold QBOTF? Except for the immediate future I highly doubt that.
Sam Darnold is not the QBOTF.

He is the QBOTP. (Quarterback Of The Present)

If he plays well this season (and then next season), he will continue to be the QBOTP here.

The QBOTF (to me) should only apply to a young QB that was drafted.

Then QB of the present it is.

The Viking were 19th in rushing yards last year, hardly superior.

Superior literally means higher in rank and quality. The Vikings finished nine spots higher than the Seahawks in rushing. Literally superior. What has happened to this board?

I believe the term superior was being used in and of itself to describe the Vikes attributes, not just in relation to Seattle

All I know is Darnold threw a dime to Justin Jefferson for the TD that beat the Seahawks in a must-win game at home for the Hawks. That was sure deep enough.
Darnold is super talented. Physically he's every bit as talented as Geno is. That throw to Jefferson was one of the best in the league all year long. Now last year could've been a fluke but I don't think so. I think at worst hes probably fairly similar to Geno and still has time to get better.
