Honestly, the entire front 7 besides Nwosu needs to lose their starting job at this point and have legitimate competition come training camp to get it back. I hope 3 of the 4 first picks this year are on defense, guys who walk in and take the job. Bruce Irvin is 35 years old, FA off the street, and having to play a ton of snaps because no one else out there can hold the edges (even if he isn't doing it that well). Pete's pressers are the closest I've ever heard him lay blame at players feet before, saying 'we just gotta go out there and make a freakin play'. Bruce and Nwosu basically calling out everyone for being soft as hell. Scheme can certainly be better, coaching can certainly be better, guys who don't want to go out and play with physicality and grit need to be off the roster.

This goes for the secondary too - don't ever seen any of the DB's flying up to make a big hit. Many of these runs killing the defense are bouncing outside, they deserve criticism as well. Woolen wants to be that guy, watch some film of Sherm then and see him taking on OL in the run game, decleating an RB in the flat. Hopefully Tre Brown comes back soon cause he actually brings physicality and Jackson should be merely depth on this team.

Sign penny to a cheap prove it deal otherwise he can walk. I really like what he brings to the offense when he is able to stay on the field

The Seahawks only have 33 players under contract so far for the 2023 Season.

With a 90-man off-season roster, the Hawks are going to sign almost 60 players in March/February.

Blyth, Ford, Barton, Collier, M. Adamas are all going to be gone

Brooks hasn't been that great this season. He is not anywhere near the largest problem, but he hasn't been good either. He's just another guy at this point with elite athleticism that has yet to put it all together.
He's still young and decent with room to grow. It'd be crazy to get rid of him before his rookie contract is up.

“He continues to grow as the time goes by here, where he’s really commanding what we are doing on defense,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said this past week. “He still has more growth. He still has more experience to gain, but he’s such a good football player. He’s so well equipped. He’s so fast, explosive, instinctive, all of those things. … He’s running the show out there.”

I'm not saying we should get rid of the guy, but as of right now he's a replacement level player. He's not playing well.

Adams
Poona
Mone
Penny
Blythe
G.Jackson
Jefferson
Collier
Barton
Fuller
I would think Diggs and Adams with their obscene contracts are not waivable. Is Blythe really that bad?

I thought Barton did great as a relief guy, his biggest issue is the shoes he had to fill.

With Pete saying the scheme isn't changing, we have no clue what these guys can do in a scheme that works for the players they have.

I know what the subject line says, but thats not the problem...my picks are Pete and Hurtt.
