Do you need medical assistance? Blink twice if you are suffering a stroke or head trauma.

What in the world would possess you to feel the way you do after such a historic season? Are you afraid of the dark? Of continued success? Still can’t release yourself from the grip of the 90s?

Seriously! What is it? We want to help. Reach out.

Is it possible that it’s a mentality of finally getting what you wanted and being afraid to lose it?

I think the main problem is we don't have the option to disable the sidebar. It's making everyone moody. This needs fixed right away. 🤔

The front office should be happy about what they've accomplished. If they want to sustain this success, I hope they're working hard to identify and assess any potential liabilities. I also hope that when those concerns are raised in their discussions, they aren't flippantly dismissed as "Chicken Littles" and "Eeyores".

Some of us enjoy the critical analysis. We're nerds. It doesn't mean we're rooting for the team to fail. I don't understand why that is such a difficult concept for some to grasp.

It’s probably an artifact of the time of season.

With notable exceptions, those of us who tend more toward focusing on what the team needs to do to have future success, are the ones who tend to be around this time of year.

The fans who are more focused on the present, and just being fans, are off enjoying life and the win.

But the eeyoring and littling does seem to be especially bad this year, considering the year we just had. This admin has certainly earned our trust.

Doing forums for a long time I would suggest starting a “We will suck next year because …” thread. If you don’t have a negative mega thread it will just be expressed in every thread.

Not wanting a player to be re-signed, not thinking a player is worth the $$$, or being disappointed a player *wasn't* re-signed doesn't make anyone a ________. I've never understood people who blindly support everything. People are merely saying what they *think* is the correct move. Blindly supporting everything is worse than being a _______.

Exactly - I don't understand, either! We are truly blessEd, to "simply" be enjoying our Superbowl win. We're now 2-2 in Superbowls. Fans of many other teams would love to have this. I'm still basking in it for a bit longer, because like ALL 12s... I /deserve/ it!
:)

Still can’t release yourself from the grip of the 90s?

Yeah, I don’t get it. Normally during the offseason I wear Seahawks gear on blue Fridays or if I’m feeling a little seahawky that day.

Since the LX win I wear Seahawks gear almost everyday. I have two different Super Bowl sweatshirts. Wherever I go I walk into a place strutting my shit like a peacock in heat!

Enjoy the process.
Enjoy the journey.
Enjoy the fruits of success!

The system is designed specifically for the purpose of every team being able to have a shot.

You win, you lose players.
You lose, you get players.

The best teams ride the wave being proactive opposed being reactive.

Pieces will come and go, but John’s track record is strong enough for us to be able to take a deep breath even though losing players we love and root for is always hard.

We gonna be alright.

I posted something about people being afraid of success during the playoffs. I truly believe this is one of people's biggest fears. It happens in our professional and personal lives. I am fighting it by choosing not to be afraid of success. I want to draft 32 every year and have people puke at the thought of the Seahawks hoisting the trophy 🏆 yet again.

Based on the logic here, isn’t this just being an Eeyore about some of the fans being an Eeyore? If people want more positivity about the team after Super Bowl win, make more positive posts.

Some fans just want discussion and the dopamine hit the website gets you with the reaction feature. A range of opinions helps those discussions happen. Just look at this thread. It's critical and I disagree with it. It's still more thought provoking and entertaining than the very positive and agreeable topic of again talking about how awesome JS's last few drafts have been. This stuff is for entertainment. Being an Eeyore, even when we’re all amateurs who would not do it better than most of the pro's we're talking about, still throws a log on this fire.

Not everything needs to be koolaid, pussy willows and rainbows all the time.

Sure we just won a SB - that was incredible. But now the new expectation, the new standard, the new mountaintop, is back-to-back.

With the SB window wide open right now, this roster should ONLY get better. Anything less than isn't good enough.

That being said, John has earned all benefit of the doubt.

I'm still in a daze. I know I shouldn't be 'Chicken Little', but at least now I understand that book - as a child it always confused me.

It's an all-too-common mindset from native PNW people in my experience. Living life too afraid to speak your mind, be direct with people, or have a solid and objective expectation for something based on actual evidence rather than feelings, especially personal feelings.
