The Seahawks are off the field following their Thursday practice, and the big news is that right tackle Breno Giacomini again sat out with a knee injury..........

There was better news on other injury fronts as DT Jordan Hill and center Max Unger were each listed as participating on a limited basis (Unger did not participate on Wednesday with an arm issue), while everyone else was listed as fully participating in practice.

That includes DT Red Bryant, who sat out Wednesday with back spasms, Marshawn Lynch, who was out Wednesday for non-injury related reasons and WR Jermaine Kearse, who sat out Wednesday with an ankle injury suffered against Jacksonville but appears on the fast track to returning.

Also fully participating today who had previously been on the injured list this week were DT Michael Bennett.

We have to keep the games interesting.

I'm still in wait and see mode with Breno. I didn't really expect him to practice today. Tomorrow will be the tell all day. If not, at least the young guys got some reps last week and are getting more reps in practice this week, so that will help some if it comes down to it.

Best news is Bryant. Gonna make a huge difference in this week. Watch for him to push the tackle back and cut off the stretch run. Expect Houston to be running to the opposite side a lot

Right from the get go this Season, KNOWING that they had no chance in beating the Seahawks Defense, the Panthers figured that IF they were to have ANY chance to beat them, they'd have to swarm the O-Line, stop the run ,not let Russell Wilson get any kind of rhythm going, if they were to have a chance.
Unfortunately, opposing Defenses were fed up with the ZBS, and (although legal) Cables cut blocking, was causing the Defensive Coaches to counter by doing some physical damage of their own, thus?, mounting injuries.

The offensive injuries have had little to do with the other teams.

Am I the only one who has absolutely zero worries about injuries this year? If anybody gets hurt I expect their replacement to come in and the Seahawks to keep winning.

Earl Thomas and Russell Wilson with long term injuries would worry me, other then that, I don't expect a drop off.

In some cases I would not be shocked to see the backups exceed the starters they are replacing.

For the most part, but the Okung injury really hurts...

If he is a no go, this is a great opportunity to see what we have behind Breno. With him being a FA after this year, it will be a good test to see how someone can fill in behind him.

I know it's akin to wanting the backup QB to play over the starter, but I wouldn't mind seeing if Bowie can handle Watt better than Breno would.

Won't Watt be matched against our guards most likely? I know they move him a round a bit, but always thought he lined up inside mostly.

Exactly how I feel! Okung seems to always have a issue and I have never really been a Breno supporter( he's not that good). If their pain is too much get otta the way, I'll support the rookies!

SMH really? If the pain is too much? Okung was trying to get back in the game on a torn tendon in his big toe. Even though it is a toe foot injuries are horrible for a big man. I think you are under estimate just how tough Okung and Breno really are dude.

Just gotta make it through these next 5 games with 3 wins and we'll be looking good.

I realize that's not the most optimistic view in the world and of course I think this team is fully capable of going 5-0 but this is the NFL and this is a tough stretch of road games. So, if we can get 6-2 halfway through the season, get harvin back, anticipate a future return for okung, then the sky is the limit. Five of our last eight games are at home, and the three road games are against:

Atlanta: we've proven we can play them close on the road, we just need to finish
SF: we've proven we can beat them now we just need to do it without the 12s
NY Giants: well. They aren't very good.
