So when you say to other teams: this is your Super Bowl!

You mean it as a dig to them, as in playing YOU is their highest achievement for the year.

Are you saying playing the Rams and this game is Hawks highest achievement on the year?

I’m saying with all the stakes involved, absolutely yes. This game could possibly be the difference between hosting the playoffs at home as the #1 seed versus going on the road in the wildcard to cold-ass Chicago or Philly.

Man, if I said I wasn't nervous the next time I'd look in the mirror a liar would be looking back at me.

This game feels like either the NFC championship or the Superbowl. BIG TIME feeling. I look at the clock, and I imagine what the players are doing/feeling. I hope ice is running through all of the players veins right now, especially Darnold's.

I hope he walks out on to the field with the frame of mind of "I'm going to prove all the nay sayers wrong right now." And absolutely brings it all 4 quarters.

I hope the defense has their heads oiled on the swivel to catch or deflect any ball that is within arms reach.

I HOPE nobody that is on that field is as nervous as I am.

Just bring it, boys. The 12's are behind you every step of the way.

GO HAWKS!

I know you didn't ask me but I'll give you my unsolicited answer.

Yes.

This is the biggest game of the year for the Seattle Seahawks.
I think you'd have to admit that Seattle has closed the gap considerably but they have to win to be able to say they belong in the conversation. This has gone both ways ever since division realignment.

Meh on the Super Bowl stuff. It is however time for the Hawks to get the freaking monkey off their backs and to end the Rams recent domination head to head and end all The Hawks are Good, BUT nonsense.

Lots of football still to be played, including playoffs.

IMO. and it is simply what I think.

The Hawks are good. And are going to be good. The foundation is set.

The only monkey is Darnold.

I'm going to go ahead and say it (again) :

This is Sam's SuperBowl right here tonight.

He needs to go out there and play well (and smarter), AND help the Seahawks win.

He does this, then the narrative begins to flip on his current career-arc.

If he fails again, his career as a Seahawk starts coming into question.

I may have asked this before (I dank a lot and am getting old), but how/when did you become a SAM DARNOLD "Stan"? You can give the abridged version.

9ers are not to be taken lightly in the least but let’s be clear: Our TRUE nemesis is the Rams. That beast must be slayed. Then we can deal with those pesky 9ers.
Go Hawks! It would be nice if week 18 was for all the marbles ( I have a feeling the niners will drop one to the Bears or Colts though)

Yes. Except for the last time we played them...and the next.

Hopefully Nacua's statements this week will exorcise the pinstriped ghosts of XL past, and Torry Holt stays in retirement.

As Chris Long says, "Go Hawks!"

Is Chris Long saying that now?

I like him and nothing will ever change him as a Ram to me.

(side note: he once cut a whole line of people at the fence to just come talk to me. His words: why wouldn't I just talk to you? :) )

Got my cigar ready.
Got my Seahawks rocks glass ready.
Playing hooky tomorrow from work.

LFG!!!!!!
What stick you got toasted up?

And what you drinking?

I can send you a Glencairn if you’d rather drink neat.

I typically drink beer for the games, and haven’t smoked for a while.

You’ve inspired me.

Heading to the humidor now to pick something out.

I would have to disagree with you Aros, just hear me out. We as a team don't have to beat this team or show anybody anything. We are contenders with or without this win tonight. This game is more about Darnold shining in Primetime. If this ends up a close game and Darnold and Co. are average, I'm good with that. The Rams aren't gonna stomp us out. They couldn't do it the first time in a perfect weather environment and they sure as hell ain't gonna do it tonight in the shitty weather that's predicted. I don't care what the score say's during that first match up, we won that game.
