Had to leave the game day chat yesterday. Every bad play was paired with so many "end of the world" post that my head was spinning. I yearn for the days of long ago when we didn't have all this instant reaction, social media, constant head spinning talk. People had to watch a whole game before forming an opinion of a team.

I'm about ready to not even go to the chat room. Its completely out of control and I know many that now refuse to go there.

That is a direct reflection on our modern fan base. They would rather only post bad comments than good. When the game is level and we are doing well its a nice friendly place. But let us get down or make a mistake and the level of poster there ruins it for most fans of football chat.

Screaming,,WE SUCK, OUR TEAM SUCKS, WHAT A STUPID PLAY CALL, BEVELL SUCKS, PETE SUCKS, LYNCH SUCKS, pretty much chases most of the average fans away.

To me it appears to be those that are thrown out of stadiums for being such disruptive idiots are in our chat room.

BTW I'm for not allowing anonymous as a user name. Many of those seem to be among the worst.

I agree on the anon names. we had about 8 of them in there. Not too thrilled about it. Almost wonder if there is a second room we could entertain like we did in Spokane. After I left the Swinging Doors, I wandered a block away to a pizza place and waited for the ride. They said it was pretty full in there too for the game. Pizza tasted ok too.

Naw brother I feel your pain. I watch most of em alone and have for many years. Except for HoustonHawk (Scott) I'm the only 12 around, he's a hour and 45 minute drive away. Yesterday was exceptionally tough, I was traveling in the car. Had the game on radio, lost reception 1/2 way thru 3rd. Got home just in time to see the overtime. I can't believe nobody called the cops on me driving thru Houston, the way I was beating on my steering wheel and stuff. I'm sure they thought the wife and I were fighting. Anyway was great to pull off another win.

True 12 right there. :th2thumbs:

I know I'm the enemy, but I watch all 49er games alone. It is too much of a religious experience for me to sully it with obnoxious idiots. But that's just me. Everyone's different.

I watched the game in the kitchen. That Mike Carey crew got me to slicing and dicing early on. I feasted throughout the second half. And for overtime, indulged in dessert. :th2thumbs:

You sir are not the enemy. But I have to say this, I would be counted as derelict if I didn't. If I was a 9er fan I would watch alone too. By choice. Wouldn't want anybody to know. Kinda like that old moped story.
