Was reviewing that last game against Saints and their roster and here are my conclusions:

Seahawks on Offense vs Saints Defense:

1) The LBers of the Saints are slow - Hawthrone, Lofton, Galette, Haralson or Dawson are slow and hence you saw Miller, Willson and Davis exploited them big time. Remember the Miller long pass and TD pass no

2) Because of point number 1 I also see the Hawks running a lot of read option to one slow down Jordan and Hicks and Galette from outside and taking advantage of the slower ILB to react to keepers by DangeRuss

3) The saints really dont have a good nickle or dime package and dont be surprised to see Seattle use base offense of 3 wide and 1 TE and 1 RB and then go 5 wide and take advantage of mismatches of safeties and LB's on TE, RB or Tate, Baldwin, Harvin... Harvin really could be HUGE X-Factor

4) Because of lack of depth on Saints team in Secondary and LBers I expect a little hurry up / 2 min offense early in the game to wear those legs out

5) This is a really good match up for Seattle's offense considering that Okung and Breno should have their legs back vs the first time we played them was both of their first games back after a long layoff

Seahawks Defense vs Saints Offense:

1) Note that Charles Brown has been benched and rookie Armstead replaces him and after watching him against the Eagles he is going to struggle big time against Clemons and our Nascar packages

2) RT Strief struggled against Avril and Bennett and I expect Quinn and Caroll to blitz off the edge a lot and dont be surprised to see Irvin have a big game

3) We will be without KJ Wright but we add Thurmond so I like how we match up against Stills, Sproles and Moore with Smith, Lane, Thurmond however Graham against Smith - much smaller and shorter arms than Wright is a mismatch not in Hawks favor but I can see adjustments with Irvin, Kam and maybe even Sherman if necessary

4) The guard play of the Saints is clearly the strength of the Run game so Mebane, Mcdonald, Bryant need to keep them busy so Wagner and Smith can run free and make tackles. Bryant and Mebane killed them last game

5) Drew Brees is going to want this game and I expect him to find some holes in our D but I also expect him to have at least one turnover. He will run a little more and he will hit the swing passes to sproles like he did in the 4th qtr in last game. I expect with a a wet football a few fumbles as the Seahawks will pound the saints players across the middle

Special teams:

Tate is simply due for a TD return and if Harvin returns Kickoffs we will really win the hidden yardage and field position game.

Simply put the Seahawks match up extremely well against this team as their DE are solid but not fast, there LB's are big but not fast and outside of Lewis (assuming he plays) their secondary is well below average in terms of one on one coverage. Going zone against us will mean a whole lot of Lynch. Teams our offense has struggled against are fast DE's and inside pressure for DL along with fast LBers (Wills, Bowman, Washington, Dansby, Kuechly, Quinn...)

If we play clean - low penalties and less than 1 turnover then I see a 10+ point victory, if we turn them over 2+ times then the route is on...

We NEED Mebane to continue to destroy interior lines. He's on fire right now and we need him to keep it up.

I should say McDonald and McDaniel and seacards I agree, Mebane is playing his best ball ever!

Anyone think Jeron Johnson will see the field some to allow Kam to man cover Graham? Without KJ, Saints have more of a positional advantage (TE's vs. LB's).

Kam is strong enough against the run that he could be a nickel linebacker in spots.

JJ is on IR so no chance but expect Thurmond, Lane, Maxwell, Sherman to see a lot of action and hence have Thomas deep and Kam on Graham and play the run!

To be more precise. I can see us take Colston and Graham out of the game with Maxwell and Sherman and play thurmond on Stills or Moore or we can play straight up Smith, Irvin, Wagner on Graham and Watson until Brees and company can prove to exploit... We have a lot of options to cover this team... We proved last game that we can shut down the screen game and the run game and play the pass game straight up. Will will bring a few wrinkles...

No his is on ir....we will just do our thing and cover him with a lber. We used multiple players to cover him last time. More of the same this time.

Doh! Has Shead been active recently? I don't think Malcolm can play Graham like KJ. He has more speed, but KJ's length was huge last time.

KJ had a career game against the Saints on that Monday night game. We NEED him back to help shut down Graham again.

Agree Nano hence I think Irvin or Kam get more of a shot on Graham and dont be surprised to see Maxwell play him with Lane or Thurmond playing outside.

What makes this awesome is that the Saints WILL double him and potentially Bryant and our pass rush should come alive. If those two big boys bring the pain we will feast on the Saints.

On offense I'd like to see us pick on Will Herring, who will likely start next week.

The key to the game is start fast and put doubt into the Saints mind... I see some big plays dialed up with Tate, Harvin and Kearse!
